Definitely preventing pain is the biggest advantage! Gosh, I've tried so many times but I can't even hand sew a hem without injuring myself, but operating a machine is no problem. It is just the right amount of automation to make it still feel like you are making something "by hand" but without the problems that come with it 😄

Great video, I absolutely love your tutorials also. I recently got an Addi after my sentro kept breaking. Honestly the difference is like night and day and I feel that I can use so many different yarns compared to the sentro and the stitch counter works for the panel setting! However I'll always have a soft spot for the sentro as it got me into circular knitting!

That’s so great! From everything I’ve heard, the Addi definitely seems worth the money!

I have been debating purchasing one for a while now. I have crocheted and knit for several years but I have developed severe arthritis in my hands. I am concerned about the quality of the machine. I can’t afford an Aldi. Thank you for this video. It has definitely eased my worries regarding the quality. I’m sure I will take the plunge because I just can’t give up knitting. ❤

Thanks for the info. I'm a pretty experienced hand knitter, but would like the speed of a knitting machine. However, the lack of versatility would probably keep me from actually purchasing one. As for patterns, I'd recommend using your imagination and maybe learning to "steek" (that means preparing your knitted fabric before cutting it - sounds scary, but totally worth learning. I think you'll find that learning the steeking technique will open up a world of options to you. Of course, you're still limited by gauge. But, I create most of my own designs - usually with trial and error - and adding steeking will allow you more options.

I've dont have the time to learn and to knit, since i also like to do crochet, and i get a lot of wrist and hand pain, i really liked your video and your explanation, it clarified a lot of thing to me, and i may get a sentro, but its very expensive for me unfortunately
