Hey thanks for watching!! We appreciate the support :). Have you played the first game? Are you interested in the sequel?

My first tablenauts video after hearing Jeff and Jamie say such good things about you and often seeing you pop up in their live streams. This game hasn't had much coverage yet and I had been really intrigued by it as I play mostly at 2 players, so don't own the first awkward guests. This video really has me hyped for the game, beautifully presented and really gave me a good idea of what to expect. Thanks for the great video.

Thank you so much for the kind words!! We love deduction games, and the fact in this one you get to set up a murder for the other player is really cool! Thanks for watching! You have no idea how much encouragement means!

First time on your channel and I liked your review of this game. We just got AG this week and played a 4-player game as a family. We LOVED it. Our daughter, the youngest of us at 19, won the turn after the other three of us tried to solve and missed (we used the app, so we had to skip solving that round). I was down to two weapons and would have won with the other weapon the next round, but she beat me to it. So the skip a solving round for a missed guess does work as a penalty. Have not played AG at 2 yet. The dice in AG2 is making me kind of wary. Is there a good amount of dice mitigation, or is there a significant luck factor? Anyway, nice work, and I will be back to your channel in the future. HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON!A

I'm still surprised they didn't call it Awkward Guests Duel or something, just to manage expectations.

I agree! 2 is fine, but duel would get the point across more.

I like awkward guest as almost a party game. So not sure at 2-player only it’s up my alley but I can see it being a great option for someone who loves awkward guests but generally plays at 2 since I can’t imagine awkward guests at 2 is optimal since it could take so long to get all the clues out in the world

Akward Guests works at 2 players, there are rules for it, and it most defintely works well. Played it quite a few times at two and still a good challenge.

@@ScytheNoire agreed! I do think this is a more streamlined and better* experience. *still want to get additional plays before saying for sure. But I enjoyed this at 2 a lot.

@@ScytheNoire There seems to be a lot of posts on BGG that says the 2-player is weak in AG1 (and that Scandaloh! is actually the better choice for 2p; also, ThinkerThemer LOVED Scandaloh! and their opinion has a lot of weight for me personally as a deduction/abstract games FANATIC). Perhaps they were referring to the first printing of the game? Mostly, the complaint is that since it's not a coop, you're going to try to do everything you can to not help the other player and that can lead to a bit of "degeneracy" in play.

This is a super helpful comparison/review! I was disappointed by Awkward Guests (I actually like Clue better) because of the things you mentioned (setup and the clue cards repeating), so I think I'd actually like these changes a lot.

We are glad to hear it helped!

Looks interesting. Don't really like DMing so much. Not sure if it's gonna be my thing then. Would really like to try the OG

Not sure about this version. We love Akward Guests, but the gameplay doesn't seem like what we would want. Normal Akward Guests is a better version of Clue, but the dice rolling, just not sure. We've played Akward Guests at two, has special rules for it, and works well, a race to solve it. I would have rather new guests, new location, new cards, and colour production. Love the game, but not what I was looking for.

This is completely fair and I had hoped this video helps people feel like they know which way to lean.
