Don't forget, you can send scholars back to move up a science track. He could have used a scholar to nab the three income on the yellow track instead of building that workshop.

Fab playthrough as you guys explain it as you go, unlike some. Rules question though - at 1 hour 41, Mike claims a 3rd city but isn't that one already part of the city above it due to his sailing reach, so not a néw city?

Thank you for the kind words and question! So for creating cities you are only concerned with directly connected buildings so sailing level won't count toward that but if you had a bridge spanning the river and touching other buildings that would count as connected.

I’ve played over 20 solos and was wondering how to break 200 (as claimed on BGG). I’m stuck in the 150ish point area. I feel like I’m missing a key strategy.

Very nice! It's pretty much Terra Mystica, which is already a great game, with more variability. I might keep my copy of TM for a while longer because we have the automa expansion, and we played a faux 3p game with it and it adds much to the game for me and my brother. We got Age of Innovation recently, and we're still looking forward to playing it.

Does Mike's neutral school count towards total buildings in the end? Because I think he has 14 buildings. Also, great playthrough. Would love to see Terra Nova, as its a great intro to the TM series.

Mike's neutral white tower counts towards total buildings, so he would have tied with the dummy player and scored (18+12):2 =15 vp!. Nick therefor is last and only scores 6vp in area scoring, meaning Nick has to lose 3vp from his final score and Mike will gain 6 vp which let's him win the game.
