And am confusing with windows because i don't the fundamentals certification or high level certification in 70-740, 70--741, 70-742.? i don't which one is the basic and from where i should start??

Hi, I have finished CCNA and I see is not enough to a job. I dont have experienc in IT. Should I take next Azur or what is you proposal. Thank you
@deanhaycox Жыл бұрын
you have to adoped both. You can’t know one without the other. There is no one computer that just used Azure or cloud unless there a pure SAAS company. Really important to know how to perform on both platforms, if you don’t know the on prem environment or cloud how can you expect to either migrate or use both
@kadeem0703 жыл бұрын
Do you still think you should study Windows server before azure even tho Microsoft certs are expired.

Nice video Knox. I'm almost done with my MCSA Server 2016. Thinking of studying for the AZ 103 exam next (I was doing some on-prem to Azure migrations in my old job so think this would be helpful). Is there significant crossover between the MCSA Server 2016 and AZ103? I looked at the AZ103 exam skills and see familiar topics like Storage Management and Identities.
@DataKnox5 жыл бұрын
You'd be surprised - they really are two different products. So there is a little bit of crossover, but there's a TON of content in the MCSA exams that you wouldn't get from AZ-103 and vice versa. MCSA will cover things like GPO, DNSSEC, DNS Polciies, iSCSI configuration, Docker commands, Failover clustering, ADCS/ADFS/ADRMS - all things that are still very relevant technologies! So what you're really picking when you choose MCSA vs Azure is WHERE to deploy windows server, but not so much how to manage it.

I would go for whichever one your current job uses more - Windows Server or Azure? I’d also look into what your local labor market is hiring for. Eventually everything will all be in Azure or AWS but that could be awhile in your region

Data Knox I have been doing application support on applications hosted on windows servers (2008/2012) for 7 years.. I want to enhance my career , I have a degree in IT, no certs but I don’t know what certifications to get to enhance my career... any advice?
@DataKnox5 жыл бұрын
Jitin Misra with your experience, it really boils down to what is hiring in your area. If your area isn’t hiring for cloud-based jobs like Azure, I would go for MCSA: Server 2016 (which is absolutely ok to put “In Progress” on your resume!). Otherwise I’d go for Azure Administrator to learn some totally new skills and technologies
@JitinMisra5 жыл бұрын
Data Knox so u don’t think I must get other certs first since I don’t have any other s? Go straight for what you recommended?
@DataKnox5 жыл бұрын
Jitin Misra with years of experience, I don’t think an entry level cert would help you very much. I’d go for something more Associate/Professional/Expert level that really “certifies” your years of experience

We disagree with your advice and believe going to azure directly is the best way to be with the current and future trend of MS certification.
@francis2k4884 жыл бұрын
His advice is true and good. If you have no experience with Windows servers, MCSA will give you a solid foundation since you will still work with servers in the cloud. If you already have some experience but no certifications, Azure is a better option.
