I love the art of the Frost Roc in the adventure. Imagine you are trekking through a dangerous mountain pass and this HUGE SNOW OWL just swoops down and grabs a mammoth like it was a vole.

I've already started running this with my group. Have to say that the initial setup is a bit more complicated that it seems at first, but so far my players seem to be enjoying it.

Is anybody else super conflicted if to watch/read Prey for Death? Experiencing live as a player would be so amazing, but I think I'm too forever-GM for that to happen :')

I try (but not always succeed) to make these videos specifically for "Forever GMs", like us. They're made in pairs and in the first video I try (but not always succeed) to keep the spoilers light. The idea is I want GMs to watch these and get enough information (and light spoilers) to help them decide if the adventure is a good fit for them and their table. If so, they can watch the Part 2 video for more spoilers and deeper detail. If they decide it's not a fit for them to GM, then I hope I don't spoil so much that they couldn't still experience the adventure as a player and have a good time. The MAJOR spoilers are danced around in the Part 1 video and only discussed in Part 2 when people have pretty much committed to not being a player in the campaign. In general I talk about the plot and the general progression from location to location but don't get into specifics like revealing the identity of someone who will betray the players or major events like battling the tarrasque. I may say something like, "and then there is a major earth-shattering battle," but not go into specifics. At least not in Part 1. Part 2 is where I get into that level of detail. So, my recommendation would be to watch another of my "GM Overviews", preferably for an adventure you're already familiar with, and see if the amount of spoiled material in it is too much. If not, then you may be able to take a risk on this one. And my other recommendation is to keep making those 7-minute or less videos. Love those!

thank you for the video ! I thind it very cool that pathfinder is curating to this niche but common want of party to do an "evil campaign". If this scenario is correctly written, I'm sure it will be a must have !

This adventure sounds sick af I'm definitely asking my players if they want to play this after wildwood

How evil/what "level" of evil are the players expected to be? I have a player that is feeling sligthly apprehensive about an evil campaign, but the story sound very interresting, so I'l love to run it.

They are assassins who are expected to have no qualms with taking out any target given to them by their superiors... HOWEVER, none of the enemies they face in the actual adventure are good people - in fact it's encouraged to play up their almost moustache-twirling evilness. All in all your party could be Good* characters and the plot will still work completely fine. *They'd just have to be OK at least working with the Red Mantis, and the story works much better if they actually WANT to be in the order of terrifying assassins. There's an opportunity a GM could shift the RMA a little bit so that secretly they're doing good across the world by wiping out tyrannical leaders who aren't "rightful".

Even though the term isn't used in PF2 anymore, the Red Mantises were/are Lawful Evil. You kill people, you don't do other super bad stuff

How do you think the use of the infiltration system compares to other adventures that use it?
@dmeep3 ай бұрын
Seem like a good time to introduce blades in the dark mechanics for the infiltration part if you have that system at hand

14-18 seems like a bizarre choice for level range.
@manuel-dolmo49743 ай бұрын
Standalone adventures dont have level range, the adventure begins at 14th level and ends at 18th.
@Zhukov0873 ай бұрын
@@manuel-dolmo4974 That's exactly what I meant by "level range". The range of levels covered by the adventure.
