Hi 👋🏼 your channel came up in my feed and I would like to say “Welcome to Pensacola!” Now, you should know I’m not currently living there but I grew up in Gulf Breeze, lived on Pensacola Beach and all of my family is there so I visit often 😊 I haven’t looked through ALL of your videos but if you have not done so, I’d recommend you do a video on McGuires Irish Pub in Pensacola. You have to staple a dollar bill up (sign & date it) and kiss the moose 🫎🤣 They also have a yearly “run” that they do, though I have never participated I know many who have. BTW, what company are you going through for homeowners insurance? I’ve heard a lot of news in the past to present about insurance companies no longer servicing Florida. I’d be interested to know how many companies are even available for HO Insurance now. Best wishes to you and your family! ❤

That is one of the most inspiring places I have ever been to. IIRC the theater there is an IMAX theater. They also trade exhibits with other museums around the country so the planes you see there this month might not be there next month. It's a great place to visit.

I went to the museum a few years ago, before Covid. It is fascinating and well worth the time spent there. There is a small museum at Elgin Airforce Base called the Air Force Armament Museum, that has an SR-71 and several fighters. This is a great area to spend a week or two. I hear there is some pretty good fishing in the area as well.

My uncle was a flight instructor there. And is now been laid to rest in Barrancas Cemetery. Got lots of roots in aviation in Pensacola. Love it❤

This is on my list of places to visit with our girls. Hopefully next year we can make it down from Missouri.

If you get the chance, run over to the Armament Museum just outside of Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach too. Pretty cool to see the planes outside and the stuff inside as well. Thanks for the video Jack!

My wife and I spent a week in Santa Rosa a few years ago and visited the museum on a day trip. The light house was under repair at that time, but we really enjoyed the air museum. If you visit the base/museum make sure there are no weapons in your vehicle (I had to trash a pocketknife prior to entering the base).

When the east gate was still run like an open base, you could drive from Pensacola Beach over and through to the museum. After 911, they stopped that. It's a pretty long drive to go all the way around the base to enter the other gate, because the roads take you way far out around the base. That being said, it is still a great museum. I grew up near The Air Force Museum in Ohio. Now that is on an entirely different level. It's like six of these museums. Maybe eight. Both well worth seeing. The AF museum is free and open almost year round.

This place was so cool. If your a gear head. The cut away engines are awesome. Between the light house and the museum. There is way to much to do in one day. We hit it while at orange beach week vaca. A family must do

I went and did a tour with a tour guide that knew the mercury 7 astronauts! He said he gave John Glenn a personal tour! That was awesome!

I did not have a good experience, I was in Florida visiting a friend and he told me it was an excellent museum to see. I browsed the website and there was no mention on the website of the museum being closed. I even booked a hotel for 2 days looking forward to visiting the museum. When I got there at the gate, they told me the museum was closed and would not be open for 2 more days. Probably won't ever be back that way again.

As you can see from my avatar pic, I am a fan. I volunteer at the Museum. The first time I went there, I just expected that I would find it an interesting place and that would be that. I wasn't even all that interested in Naval aviation, but I had seen the Blue Angels for the first time about a year ago at Pensacola Beach and after that I had to see the Museum and when I did I was blown away. I had to be a part of it.

Is the Presidential/NASA building still open as well? And is the wooden flight deck from the Enterprise still the floor on the second level?
