In Ireland here 🇮🇪 , the County Council does the majority of such work. But folk can, and do, outside their own homes if they want.

Great job, the council should pay you 👍👌💪🏼 I think you’re brave working next to a busy lane. Is it an option for you to wear a thin orange reflection shirt so you stand out and us a cone or flag to warn traffic?

Owner pays the taxes on the land I pay to live in the house on the land It’s suppose to be the owners responsibility People like to brag about what they have YET they don’t maintain even their own yards And the town just cares about collecting taxes and cleaning the streets when they entertain on them Canada Day🇨🇦 Fair days and towns birthday 🙄

I would do it in front of my property because it would drive me nuts otherwise. I do believe though that if the council it out fining homeowners for not maintaining their property that they shouldn't be hypocrites by not doing their part to maintain council property. 🤷‍♀️

Boy, I LOVE that beastly Australian edger!!!! It DOES the job! Here in the states we are responsible for cutting the grass on those beaulevards. But if a tree on it needs to come down, that's the municipality's job. Also, they maintain ditches and water lines on it, too. We just attend to the grass.

Ideally no but like you said the council doesn't do it. If the did it wouldn't look anywhere near as excellent as the job you do Tim. Should have told the guy you were going to the Queensland boarder. ❤

YES. It drives me nuts how lazy and inconsiderate people have become. They let grass edges grow out all over the footpath in front of their house, causing a hazard for pedestrians and cheapening the look of the suburb/street. Really poor.

No way here in Maryland we pay for lawn services and snow removal it is the tenants responsibility written in our lease agreement 😢.
@SoulsJourney

This may be small consolation, but a friend in Germany said the tenants in her apartment building were responsible to take turns shoveling the snow at the property. Apparently whatever building "maintenance" is there doesn't do it. I was shocked.

Nice look as usual by you! There are traffic islands (between each direction of travel) where I live in Georgia USA, and I really want to detail them also. The county will mow a few times a year, but no edging at all.

I know we don’t technically own the parkways but I feel like homeowners should take care of them if they want their neighborhood to look nice and if everybody took more pride in their property our country would be more beautiful!

grouse work Tim mate and yep you nailed that one when the local Council cannot do them now days as often as they did back in the good old days and of course the road users will be a happy lot to see clean cut work done for the community i reckon and well for me if it,s a quick one i say why not etc.

In my city, in central Texas, it's the homeowners' responsibility to do the sidewalks. Even though the sidewalks belong to the city they won't clean them up. I'm always calling, because we pay very high property taxes & they do the minimum. Not good.
