Good advice, a leaky propane tank can be very explosive. Or if it's compromised in any way (damaged, rusted, etc.)

We live fulltime in our bus. We only shut off when we travel. Our GPS allows us to input that we have propane tanks on board and routes out away from tunnels where propane is prohibited.

If you live in the heat and your rv sits in that heat, replacing the pig tails, the rubber hoses that go from the tanks to the trailer every few. Years as the rubber degrades, is important to prevent hose gas leaks….

A number of years ago, I phoned the headquarters of all the state police and asked them if driving with the propane on was illegal. Every one of them said no but you cannot have any source of ignition within 10ft of the fuel pump and that there are some bridges, ferries and some tunnels that require you to turn off your propane while traveling through/on them. You say some states require it to be turned off when traveling. Please let us know which states.
