I couldn't agree more with the statement made at 2:48. A few years ago I moved to Fayetteville, GA (just outside of Atlanta) to be near the industry there. And was living in a Miserable situation with people that couldn't stop arguing & fighting everyday. Even until one in the morning. Because of that, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get my head in a focused & creative mindset. So trust me. That is a very real obstacle to avoid. Hope that helps at least 1 of my fellow actors out there. Take the advice. Go when it feels right.

Thanks for the video, Erica. ATL is exploding. Coming from VA or another regional market, expect things to move slowly at first. You're in a bigger pool now. The work is certainly here, but competition is stiffer and the gatekeepers must gain confidence in what you bring. A 6-12 month ramp up is a healthy expectation if one is doing the right things.
