In so many career fields, the leadership resents when the “assistant” grows and goes on to bigger things. I liked these two until they revealed a strong professional defensiveness. In most professions, people with specialized education, training and experience are better. But to flat out rule out some few people just randomly having a great set of traits, talent and unrelated but valuable background for a job like this and being confident about it is naggy.
