Just started playing again on Whitemane. Was really surprised how many people were leveling in the starting zones. Love being able to login and just chill out and level instead of worrying about getting my weekly vault filled up on retail.

The alliance server feels like phase 1. Without all the trolls or race. No boosting spams. It's highly populated and still a great community. Very much worth it.

Very interesting to see how when we first played classic there were so many complaints concerning the meta for both pve/pvp, the world buff raid logging, the lack of QoL (such as no dual spec) etc... and even towards the end it was basically "tbc waiting room". We've gone through the original trilogy now - and we have so many fixes to all those complaints - yet so many want to play vanilla. What an amazing game it truly is! Best game of all time.

I'm playing classic like... just doing it my way this time. Not hardcore, but just questing by myself and treasure hunting with dwarf racial. That's it... no pressure to do anything but quests and leveling which classic has a lot of lol! 💝💖💝💖💝

Vanilla wow is the absolute best version of World of Warcraft and in my opinion, the best game ever created. Nothing is even close. Me as well as thousands would always play a fresh vanilla server every two years with no changes. #NoChangesAlways!

imo the beauty of vanilla is that once you hit raid log status on a character you can easily start leveling alts. The classes are so different and the journey is so long that it's actually fun.

I hopped on to mankrik with my transferred SoM toon and had like three guilds all reach out to me offering casual raid spots. Era community is solid

Whitemane has been poppin lately. At least Alliance side, haven’t checked out Horde yet. Lots of group content. Tons of players running about. Notable thing: KIND AND GENEROUS PLAYERS. Had a couple people just give me bags and a couple gold. Definitely plan on paying it forward. I recommend checking it out if you haven’t already.

I’m primarily a Retail player and really found WOTLK to be overrated. That said, i made a new toon on Classic Era and have been having so much fun. The population feels like it’s in a sweet spot right now and everyone has been having a great time over there

In all your videos about classic era they seem like you are speaking from only experience on the hardcore servers. I play on the PVE block and there are several raids MC-Naxx every night. The community is very friendly and there is a mix of skill and knowledge levels. I haven’t tried HC yet but want to.

What are some good servers? I don’t play on EU. I know the guild leaders on Whitemane pvp server started their own (somewhat reset) and had a lot of players restarting new toons. I found them on Blizzards Classic Forums. Just looking for a decent PVE server.

@@lashbailey3861 yea the whitemane block is the most popular pvp and mankrick is the best Pve block from what I understand. Almost every night are some raids/ guilds that are mostly reroll toon’s progressing raid by raid and some guilds that are mostly full bis trying to get those last few pieces

I liked era for a few days, but I just need fresh. I don't love leveling knowing that I'm going to be immediately around all p6 bis characters. I need vanilla progression.

I agree, yeah it's nice to play around but one of the things I like to do outside of raids is gold farm and the AH just isn't popping since there is no progression.

To be honest, its been a disappointment for wotlk for not adding RDF in my opinion as i enjoy that kind of gameplay. So with that said and with your review of classic Era im more open to start playing Classic again. Thank you 🙏

Vanilla was peak of wow. I played vanilla 2019 so much, as contrary to tbc and wotlk classic, lost interest within a month of launch. The expansions completely changed the feeling of the game, like you said 90% endgame. Not to even mention the shitshow with the state of the servers (faction balance)...As a casual player, that's not for me. I had some fun on season of mastery, but that didn't last for long either. I do hope we get another revision of vanilla, but probably not in a while, maybe after cata classic (you know blizz is going to make it happen). Anyhow, I've been feeling like playing wow again, maybe I'll try out the classic era servers.

@@spaceowl9246 Because I feel like for many cataclysm is the end of their classic vision of the game, in mop it’s pretty much just retail wow. I feel like blizzard wants to milk the cow as much as possible, so till the end of cataclysm and then start the whole cycle all over again. For the majority I feel like after wrath enough time hasn’t passed for them to be inclined to play vanilla once again. After cata what will it be like 5 years since vanilla classic? Enough time for it to feel nostalgic again for the masses. But who knows, I don’t really care, my interest is only on vanilla or vanilla+ .

Blizzard is going to give in to this synthetic Classic Era hype, open fresh classic servers and 2 weeks in they're going to be dead. Very few people want to play classic forever. Era is just an inferior version of the game. As long as WoTLK exists, nobody is going to take Era seriously

@@tigeryumyums9407 me included. I been doing the retail thing but something is missing. As much as I like the graphics and some things about it, it's just not as good as the original, I was lvl 13 and looked like an era end game toon. Also the whole MMO part....I get you can join a guild/community etc...but chances you team up to get something done in the open world is zero....there are no chance encounters and I think that aspect is what made wow fun. Otherwise it's just an endless grind. I enjoy things about both but Era is probably my favorite.

@@AlphaSmoke100 I will, because its still not vanilla. Don't get me wrong, I prefer vanilla over retail, but vanilla by itself is not a good game. There's no class balance, most flight paths are 20+ minutes, the raids are boring and the gear is poorly itemized. If blizzard just did some work on vanilla and balance a lot of whats wrong with it, it'd be far superior to any other version of the game.
