Great video! Over 600 hours in the game, however started prestige month ago (before, I didnt want to lose all guns I stole and money, or not be able to play my trusty upercat all the time), but odly enough, makes me enjoy the game more - got something new to aim for, got some new fav guns I never played before. Its really refreshing to try new things. Thanks a lot for useful tips.

Now i really want to prestige more effective. Specially with the solo traits beofre going into 50 with more control and have him in lvl 50 as long as i can with deathcheat because of all of the bloodline points. Thanks much for the tips🎉

I motivated myself to start the prestige grind by building a loadout right before I prestige and then only playing that loadout in my next prestige. I just got done with a Romero/Uppercut prestige that was brutal. But it forces me to adopt wildly different playstyles and get really comfortable with specific weapons. Certainly not the most efficient way to prestige but it's how I engage myself.

One thing some people don't consider is the blood bond value gained from prestige rewards. There are specific legendary skins unlocked at lvl 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100, but you also get random blood bond legendries at prestige 1-4, 6-9, 20, 30, 40, 60, 70, 80 and 90. Most items in the store range from 300-1000 BB's, so let's say the average cost is 600 BB's. When you push to prestige 10, that's 6,000 BB of value right there! It takes me about a week to get through prestige level but if you follow tips from this video you might be able to do it faster.

Prestiging never bothered me. It got me to get more comfortable with some of the weaker guns and makes me have to be a bit more resourceful with limited loadouts. Plus i get a legendary skin each time i do it. I figure eventually ill be prestige 100 and at that point i wont lose anything anymore and the money and loot will just pile up. Not something i really stress about because i just love playing the game regardless.

Stopped prestiging at prestige 24, started again when i was about 1800h in, while starting to play Hunter scheme as well. Lost 300k Hunt Dollars, around 50 mosins, 50 uppercuts, 20 crowns, 30 dolches. I was kinda sad that i prestiged for a while but it quickly passed. Now i'm 2030h in and prestige 39. Feeling a little refreshed and still enjoying mastering the Hunter scheme. 😄

Im already done with prestiging but i really like these types of videos. i just did it as a personal chellange and it took me about 2k hours to get to 100. Now im really looking forward for the additional rewards. But im also happy tht it doesnt get neccesary and its still up to everyone whether they do it or dont.

Nice video. Since near the end of the last event, I´ve been doing more or less what you´ve described in your lovely video. It is not nearly as painfull as it used to be. I do however take a break every 10 prestige levels as to not get fatigued. I´ve played Hunt for about 3.6k+ hours, since way back in its EA days. Back then prestige was simply a way to continue the game if you hit backrupcy. There were no free hunters, no guns, no purses and alot less consumeables to be found ingame. Prestige was a dreaded necessity for many.

Great video! I have ~750hrs and never prestiged. Just not worth burning $350k, not to mention dozens of high tier weapons and maxed out hunters. I'm interested to see if the changes make me feel differently, but to me hunt is more about the gameplay and pvp than "progression."

I never prestiged on console in over 3000+ hours. Now I recently started prestiging on PC after 600h with over 200k hunt dollars and I must say I thought it was awful at first but quickly it became like a mini event for me. Unlocking stuff again and playing with guns I normally never used was fun. It sucks a bit that you have to unlock all custom ammo types through progression (luckily that’s changing)

They basically did no changes to prestige. They changed general progression which also affects prestige and they will removed content elsewere to put in prestige. Those legendary hunters (except Victor) are normal Tier 3 hunters everyone has access to atm. The only new thing is Vic.

Personally I've always prestiged soon after reaching rank 100. I think I'm prestige 18 now, something like that. I'd say it's probably not worth it after you stop getting random skin unlocks, and personally I think it should give you all 3 rewards not just pick one because the aren't really all that worth it but after you stop getting skins the bonus xp is by far the best one. I mainly just do it for the hell of it now, that P50 Winny skin looks nice XD

Another Tip is buying level 2 and 3 hunters that have those traits you listed (along with conduit) You can start off with a higher advantage as soon as you level

I prestige to keep the game fresh. Right now I'm just postponing it until I'm done with the battlepass, since some challenges are locked to specific guns you need to unlock

It did most of my P100 grind before they introduced these changes (such as base weapons being BL1) and it was 100% not worth it. The Gun Oil/Blueprints changes are nice but they are worthless to anyone already at P100, would be nice if you got XP from them instead once they have no more use to you. For the changes coming with the August update, at least it's nice that all the unlocks will retroactively unlock for those of us already at P100.

Haven't prestiged a whole lot in my ~650 hours, but I always keep debated whether I should hop on the grind again. I have a hard time playing casually though, since I would always rather play with a pre-made team rather than suffer with randos. Do you play with mainly randos when you can't queue up with friends? Always thought it would hinder my experience too much

Apart from a month maybe I always immediately prestiged. I am now 24 or 25 and tbh I rarely miss stuff I haven‘t unlocked. Only thing I sorta don‘t like is them moving trial rewards to prestige. Makes my trial struggels a bit pointless now.

I think my problem is that I am getting old (Like not litteraly I am just 34, but as a gamer) and I really don't give a fuck about progression systems anymore... As long as I can have fun, I don't need reward to keep playing, I don't need to see a number or bar go up to feel progression, I honest to god don't care anymore, the only thing I care for is the freedom to buy what I want at a given time, I don't even touch the very expensive loadouts as I yawn thinking about them so making money isn't a big issue since my kits usually don't cost much (The average "serious" kit for me must be around 500 dollars)...So to me Prestiging is simply useless, I don't know if I am an alien in this case but that's just how it is.

With the changes done to Hunters lvl 50 retirement and 6 star lobby being more populated it's almost impossible to get a hunter to lvl 50 and more hard to keep them alive, it's become way way to grindy that I gave up on prestige at 20

I went from P50 to P100 in 2months, during the last event they had them posters that would give XP in sniper towers or carts I would boringly get my hunter to lvl 50 go into empty servers for a couple of hours and after 6/7 games with a lvl 50 I’d do a whole prestige. (With the help of the XP posters) A boring time but I wanted the grind done quickly, and obviously I’d still play normal in this time but a few of my mates were not on so much at the time so I went for it.

I've just done fourteen ranks in progression and it can get a little tedious. My main three unlocks are the centennial shorty, Winfield aperture and the bow. I've found taking the 2k bonus at the start and buying 15 legendary hunters asit helps out with using the unlocked traits. Great video and I'll take your advice on playing solo as I've lost so many hunters around level 40 and I'll also start farming the meatheads 👍

Hunt is Hunt but I definitely recommend buying the legendary hunters. I've 15 and some give you more traits than others in the early stages so I'll spend a $100 on the one that gives me the most 👍

Currently at p90. prestiging lets you get deep with all kind of variations/combos of weapons and its totally fun. So if you like a challenge on top : try ONE hunter to go through ONE whole prestige. successfully did it twice from all the 90. the decisions you have to made with all the situations you are facing not to loose this one hunter ..yea its super thrilling! give it a try :)

Personally, I found that prestiging was a good choice for me. It gives me more reason to keep playing the game after 2k hours. The small coin purse for that cheeky 24+, excitement of finding a blueprint and gun oil, looting a mosin of a dead body, killing a sniper with a WinnyC at 100m+ and most importantly, I tend to play alot more strategically with my budget loadouts after prestiging. As someone who used to have 200k+, sometimes I would just rush down the lair with a slate and uppercut without caring too much about my loadout and If i die, I will just quit the game and go next while everytime I hit a new prestige, I don't do that cause your loadouts are precious and the satisfaction of outplaying a full long ammo team with a level 1 contraband loadout is just, CHEF KISS for me.

That’s one of the benefits. It helps keep the game fresh. Yea you can spend a buttload of money on load outs when you got everything but over time it loses charm because you can do it so much, I usually play 10 games max at level 100 to just enjoy making stupid expensive loadouts or until I get down to about 8k then I’ll prestige to keep the game fresh. That’s kinda the Idea with prestige, Will the upcoming update help make it more enticing, sure but it’s about giving a fresh breath of air to how you play the game

there is a chance with the new prestige system they might make the grind harder and longer to compensate for the better rewards. of course this is just speculation but i feel very possible since no game really doesn't want to give you free stuff and always have to be some kind of grind and hassle, it might even have tarkov levels of hassle

They're worth it. You have access to all guns and soon all ammo types aswell. I am at lvl 56 now and started prestiging since 100 hrs.. now I am at around 2k hrs.. sometimes I waited a bit, especially close to an event but nowadays I just get into prestige asap

In my opinion they should've copied the black ops 2 prestige system, where it give you a token you can use to permanently unlock 1 item. Maybe include it as one of your prestige options or something. Though having it so that you only need to unlock the variants now is a MUCH needed change. And I definitely appreciate tbat they're moking prestige more viable and reasonable.

So I'm currently holding at prestige 26 and have been for a while. Currently have ~500k Hunt Dollars, with 75 hunter slots filled with hunters over level 40 (so each is a game away from maxing, essentially), and tons of expensive contraband weapons equipped to those hunters. I am tempted to prestige but I feel like I'd be deleting so much stuff that I've accumulated :( think I'm just gonna go crazy playing Crowns, Mosins, Dolches, etc. on all my high levels until I burn through my contraband stock and money

Even though their making prestige better losing my money to make and run dumb loadouts just will never make me want to prestige unfortunately. I love the game but don’t want to deal with not being able to try a new loadout or playstyle with perks because I don’t have the money or it’s locked. I like gameplay over skins any day of the week it’s what keep me coming back to play.

I'm Prestige 99 and will be at P100 before the new event and map come out. It's been a real pain in the ass some prestiges, but I've received a few thousand blood bonds worth of skins. Also when the next patch goes live I'll receive the hunter from the tutorial which is nice.

By a hair, I made it. I’m really excited for the update, and I can already tell I’ll feel a lot more freedom in my loadout choices now that I’m at the end.

I started to prestige already. Playing with what we have unlocked at start is not hard. And right now we had twitch drop event so we got a lot of equipment and money without even playing the game. That is some way to go. But Im not focusing on prestiging because I know it will take me ages to get to 100 and there is big possibility that for me it will never happen.

(1896) Idk, if you just reach level 100... Maybe getting the exp boost will be worth it in the long run. It's not really that hard to level up. You can do it in a season or less. If anything, go on a big spender spree to run down your hunt dollars before do it. Probably no way you won't end up throwing away tens of thousands of dollars though. Idk how much noticable the increase hunter exp, level rate, and bloodline dollar rate will feel. Probably, the biggest thing there is just hunter levels. Too bad you can get the random skin and exp boost. That would really suck to roll the dice on a random crappy skin alone. They probably should improve it further.

Well right now most levels you don’t get anything but the money and xp options. So it’s best to chose xp for sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wont prestige because you lose the true legendary hunters. Those free whiteshirts from when I started playing the game and achieved first player kill, extraction with bounty and Running the gauntlet, they have more value than all the skins I would ever get by prestige. Also I collect legendary weapons from enemies.

yeah, used to be 25 was the retirement"age" and you essentially just rushed there to throw your hunter away. Not all changes are good. But at least they are finally adressing the prestige system. Its been absolute garbage forever.

Definitely not worth it. You could argue prestiging once for the 10-15% hunter level buff would be worth it because that one extra point after an extract could mean bringing in a higher cost trait but that's about it. Having everything unlocked means you can build whatever you want when you want and play the game without any limitations. At the end of the day, you're playing hunt for the unique gameplay. Some people prestige for skins, but that's a random skin out of many. Spend $10 and buy yourself the skin you want already. Imagine prestiging and getting a $5 or less skin. Prestiging would need quite the reward overall to make it worth it. Even the prestige skins are sub par compared to purchasable skins.

Stopped at 13. It just takes to long for casual and at the time you had to unlock custom ammo so it just made events more annoying. Plus it's seen as an unlocky number. Question is it for me or the person a cross paths with?

I guess I'm bad, partly because I have been playing for like a week, but I have only managed to get one hunter to lvl 50, and max kills I've gotten in a game is 3. Trying to achievement hunt and get 5 hunters to lvl 50 but it's hard lol

There’s a new reward structure for prestige now. You get unique skins at certain levels. But not a hunter every level. Then again, you can now recruit 4 free hunters if i’m not mistaken after every game.
