I’m in A4 and I shoot at APSC(Alex’s club) you’re very correct. Alex is a great dude and very well liked! Him and his crew put on incredible matches! Having multiple GMs in the club helps grow shooters. Ive benefited from APSC

Mine has been lapsed for going on 2 years. I still go to 3 matches a month, just no over priced nationals (where they have too few portapotties, water, food etc etc). No classification, but I pretty much know where I stack up in the standings, so no biggie.

As a life member for a decade- they haven’t gained “new money” from me in a while. I don’t know if it would be wise to retract my membership yet. I’m at an impasse determining what route I will take going forward but for now- I want to be able to retain my vote.

I’ve got my CRO, steel challenge and multigun RO certifications. While I’m not happy with the current board, I don’t want to have to go through that process all over again in the future. So I’m keeping my membership just to keep the certs.

I agree. I have my RO & run steel challenge matches. It doesn't look good for the match director (me) to run an SC match, try to promote the sport, get others to shoot & and yet not be a member. I'm not thrilled with the current USPSA board & what is going in. Hopefully, they will figure it out & fix it.

As someone who now has the disposable income to give it a go seriously, I'm looking at uspsa alternatives. With the info coming out, I'm not looking at supporting the board and thier holier than thou behavior. It's to familiar to the lapierre /board problem in the nra

Ben I think you aren’t giving the newest board the benefit of the doubt. I think that 90 days is a little short of the time it’s going to take to remedy any and all issues that is currently going on in USPSA. I’m sure you realize these problems didn’t just appear overnight and I believe it’s going to take some time to get it all straightened out. There have been board members coming and going with interims and elections. I think that everyone needs to give them more of a chance to fix it once we have a complete setting board that includes waiting until after the Area 2 election. An interim board member has nothing to lose so going along with the crowd is an easy avenue. Look man a lot of people follow you and respond to what you say on KZbin. I believe if you would give more patience then your followers would do the same.

I am brand new to competition shooting as a whole. I recently signed up for USPSA because my local range hosts USPSA events and will be taking part in my first match in a couple weeks. In your opinion, do these issues effect people like me who intend to participate in their local montly matches, or is this mostly an issue for more serious competitors who have significant time and money investments and/or sponsors involved?

Being a member only gives you the classification, you can still shoot local matches. Unless your club has a rule about it. IDK, it's been YEARS of mismanagement and corruption, your money is not going to a good place.

Frankly no these issues don't affect you at a level 1 match. You technically don't needa membership to shoot if you just wanna do it for fun. If you wanna have an actual classification and such you'll needa membership. I personally keep mine due to my RO certification and I have hope ina turnaround of the issues.

im 5 months in myself...the issues dont really effect us unless you really care about yor membership money goes and what theyre doing with it. You dont have to have it just to shoot LEVEL 1 matches....if you want to shoot big majors or championships, those are level II/III matches and require a membership number. I signed up to see where i par with other national shooters and i like the magazine.
