I run Aven Mindcensor in my Odric Lunarch Marshal deck. It's one of my favorite cards to use, particularly when playing against a combo deck. At worst, it's a magnet for all the removal that would otherwise be directed at Odric.

Gotta respect the speed bumps. I remember rolling through a neighborhood one day and saw a sign and a bunch of speed bumps. The sign said Speed Bombs... Turns out some prankster just spray painted the sign so that it read differently and that's why I like to throw out those signs on the battlefield so people think I'm too dangerous to mess with

I had a game last week where dude pulls out an Archivist of Oghma turn 2, messed up fetches and ramp while the table didn't want to feed this guy cards. Hilarious stuff. Glad to see love for Norn's Annex, never see that played. Maybe I ought give it ago next to that old Soul Barrier.

Love the channel, been playing commander with some bros from work, started playing magic with Assassins Creed UB and my favorite one to run in my mono black deck is Infernal Darkness. Typically only keep it around for a couple turns so I can catch back up/get ahead to close the game out but it can absolutely stop a problem board in its tracks.

@@jacojames I got it way back ordering this lot of 10 artifacts that were pretty interesting. I realized it has some usage in my Sliver deck where they all tap for mana, but took it out when I realized how evil it truly was. If someone shows up to pub stomp players pretending they're casual, they may see the Winter Orb on the horizon

I typically don't like running these type of effects myself, mainly because my playgroup of friends don't like these cards. I'm still thinking of putting in Blind Obedience in my Teysa, Opulent Oligarch EDH as it's Extort would trigger her. And thinking about building Thalia & the Gitrog Monster as my Human Tribal deck. It'd be Human Aristocrat style

running things like ghostly prison or blind obedience are fine speed bumps. But anything that just shuts down players like Hushbringer is a hard no for me.
