On the subject of rent, it is *affordable* but just barely. The decent priced places for someone who has limited hours of work are in the northend or around other high crime areas(keep in mind you most likely wont be driving so you would have either a buspass or you'd be paying 6 dollars a day for the bus to school and back alone. and if you are driving you need to pay for vehicle insurance and parking. Food isnt an issue due to foodbanks) This could be helped by having a roomate, but you would need to find one first. Just make sure you know 100% that u of m is right for you considering the price points. I am still unsure and i have lived here my whole life. It's a tough decision financially and emotionally(since i notice a lot of you here in the comments aren't winnipeg natives and moving to a new place can be really difficult), but if you feel it is right for you that is great and i am excited to see what you do. ♥️♥️

V.City international applicant. I applied for the MEng course which doesn't need a supervisor. Only the thesis based needs a supervisor

Khyo Romeo have you checked the status of your application recently? To find out the status of your application please log in to the Self-Service Centre, then click the Applications button. However you should know that once a decision has been made on your file you will be notified via email. So don’t worry too much. It’s actually better to apply a whole year + in advance for masters programs because of how long the vetting period is. There are two ways you can check: In the Self-Service Centre, select ‘Summary’ next to the appropriate application. a. Scroll to the subsection ‘Decisions’ - your Enrollment Status will be noted as ‘Accept’, ‘Decline’, or blank. In the Self-Service Centre, select the decision (example, Final Admission). a. Within the decision letter scroll to the first section labeled ‘Admission’. Your Acceptance of Offer Status will be noted as ‘Accepted Offer’, ‘Declined Offer’, or ‘Pending’.

Khyo Romeo Concordia University is great! But tbh I’ll recommend Manitoba. I’ll be going there as well in September. I’ve already gotten an offer. It’s more cost effective and I did some research and it’s one of Canada’s top 20 schools. I think it will be amazing there. So, if you get an offer, go for it!

This is one of the Canada's '' Pay me first then have your application fade away '' school. I am originary from East Africa and I used to apply to this one but shortly after I paid my CAD 100 $ THEY trashed my application and didn't really want to follow up on it, this is a pure truth they will be surprised seeing this, how I have publicly denounced them since I don't have any interest no more. THEY ALWAYS URGE YOU TO PAY OFF THE APPLICATION FEE WHICH IS 100 CANADIAN DOLLARS BUT WHEN YOU DO IT, THEY REALLY DON'T CHERISH YOUR APP. I WITNESS THIS BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENED TO ME.

That's pretty standard for Canadian universities unfortunately, I know a few people who spent a lot of money trying to get into different schools. Application fees suck, but I guess their goal is to keep out people who are only applying for the sake of applying.

As a Canadian student it's already very competitive for us to get into medical school and so they leave the majority of the spots for us because we pay taxes for the country. We also live here, medical schools usually accept their provincial residents because in the long run we're gonna stay here and work were as an international student would go back to their country and they wouldn't have a doctor to work for them here. At least this is from my understanding!

Health industry is state sponsored in Canada.It takes more time than anywhere in the world to become a doctor in Canada.They are on good alot good wages hence it being a very controlled industry it's hard and alot costly for foreign students and even foreign doctors who immigrate have problems like pass tests to start practicing in Canada and indulge in the health industry.
