I created my first and only personal blog back in 2006 and it lasted 12 years. From the third year on, it was a slow and painful death, the interactions comments and visits went down to literally zero in the last three years. I had to take it out of its misery in 2018. The fact that we know about your blog from a KZbin video and not from the blog itself says a lot about blogging nowadays.

I understand how you feel and see it. This depends on the Niche and the kind of site too. An e-commerce website that has a blog page will definitely not just die off. The truth is that many bloggers this day, combine blogging and KZbin and embed their KZbin videos on their blog. Works better that way.

Blogging is someone with enough patience for slow results in terms of generating visibility and organic traffic, but if you use the right tools for proper SEO, such as Moz, Ahrefs, and BlogHandy, to analyze and maintain your blogs without much knowledge about coding or SEO. I started a blog in 2018 but became SO lazy with it unfortunately and stopped posting altogether...even though I'm still paying to have my site up year after year. I'm definitely more on the introverted side, which is why I found comfort in the idea of becoming a successful blogger. I started a “lifestyle” blog with the typical categories beauty, home & garden, food & drinks etc. How would I go about IG? Like I don’t want to dress up and take photos of myself to post….not trying to be a lifestyle IG creator basically. BLOGGING IS ALIVE! I can’t tell you how many times I’m looking for an answer to some thing…. And I find it faster in text form in a blog, and then I would have a waste of time watching 2 to 3 KZbin videos before I heard the answer. Also, the Internet does not exist unless people are putting text onto the Internet . PERIOD. Text will always prevail. Just look at the written stories of Bible and the hieroglyphics from the ancient Egyptians.
