I have a bit of news on the DJI mic 2. It DOES work as a Bluetooth microphone with my iPhone using the protake app. I’m hopeful I can use it with my action 4 with a firmware update and not just my pocket 3

Super interesting... Thanks for sharing!

@@WayneRECs if the mic works with the gopro 12 then DJI surely must have this covered in the action 4. Need to borrow a 12 to test unless anyone else can do the test.

I still remember your advice that kept me from buying an expensive mic after being disappointed by the sound of my Rode mic - after learning some things from you, I’m very content with that purchase! 🤙🏼

Thank you for your presentation. I don't have this one. I was finally able to solve my bit of confusion on my ZOOM M3 MIC.

G.A.S is real... and like you I'm trying to be much more mindful of my consumerism. I've been slowly parting with some of my microphones but I still keep several Rode Videomic NTGs. They compliment my voice, EQ well with Sennheiser 416s and my favorite lavs, and allow me to be more mobile when I don't have a recorder/phantom power. They work for me... and when I admit that to myself I spend less time upgrading gear and more time telling stories.

So true! Gear Acquisition adds up over the years and I try to remind myself I've amassed my personal collection over a decade. The problem is that whenever I sold a mic in the past, I almost immediately regretted it lol! But you're totally right on, having gear doesn't mean much if it doesn't get used!

Dude lol this NTG mic is my dream Mic, how can someone complain about the sound quality of this mic lol

So good. People go on our site to buy a new net all the time. We check their order history and if they’ve bought one before we ask if they need help fixing the old one. Staggering how often people say “I never thought to fix it”.

Great point! I think with anything that's industry specific, there are always tricks that laypeople just aren't aware of (I used to play ice hockey and the number of nets with skate lace "fixes" was a regular sight lol). The tricky part is sometimes these involve going against the "norms" or may require a specific skill set (i.e. not everyone can solder electronic components).

Haha, thanks for the video! Currently have way too many mics to buy another upgrade! Really informative and this is extremely relevant to me as I have the VMNTG as well. Cheers!

Isaac! The VM NTG sounds great with your voice! I was really impressed with how you sounded in your video on it!

I just did. I love the DJI Mic. I've got a couple reviews up on it.

Ha, to be fair, the DJI MIC would probably fall under an acceptable upgrade by most folks who like mics and audio!

If I want a stereo mic to use on top of a camcorder for everyday, travel and KZbin videos, and want a mono and stereo mic for field recording for music and game making, should I just get one Zoom M3 to do it all or my original plan of Sennheiser MKE 440 stereo mic, MKE 600 shotgun mic, Line Audio CM4 Pencil Condenser mic with recorder between Deity HD-TX and Zoom F3? I learner that shotgun mic and pencil condenser mic differences mainly just with and without the side vents of the shotgun mic, hence is it I able to make a pencil condenser mic by just cover the side vents of the shotgun mic, maybe leave a little out on the top because pencil condenser still has a bit? I watched some comparisons and MKE 600 sound crisper and M3 sound smoother, I want the most realistic sounding mics. Also is there adaptor that I can plug the CM4 directly into the Zoom F3 angled so I can have a handheld stereo mics pair? I think if I want to step up a bit without over spend, get the M3 plus the CM4 plus the F3 and maybe H3-VR in the future?

I have fuji xs20 and videomic ntg. I am trying to do a pod cast set up but it is hard to know the gain to do with out it making it sound echoey. Also I am trying to monitor it with headphones, is it suppose to sound like you are covering your ears when “monitoring”? Lol

Can you please share the settings that you used filming on the osmo action 4?

For this video in my studio, my Action 4 was set to 2.7K 24fps standard dewarp. Exposure Manual 1/50 shutter speed ISO 100-400, AWB, Normal Color, sharpness -1, noise reduction -1

Thank you very much. It seems so dark yet the picture is so clean. Definitely will try to experiment more on this.

Gas is a legitimate mental health issue , yet deemed not to be detrimental to physical injury and a benign cause of death! But may lead to intense anxiety & alcoholism if safe banking is not adhered to! 👍🤪😝 🤦♂️😂🤣 ✌️🤙
