I remember when bark busters first came out, and some of my riding buddies got them for the woods. All the sudden any sapling tree too close to the trail was missing bark. One guy said he is hitting 2 trees at the same time (one on each side). I asked him how big can the trees be to just hit them? His reply, "Until the front wheel comes off the ground." :)

Thanks for the info, havn’t heard people discuss the pros/cons of the connection point

I didn't like my "Yamaha GYTR full wrap" clamping on the taper of the stock Yamaha pro taper bars either, and I want to use my stock bar clamp pad. So I am almost done heavily modifying them, (I have a little machine shop), to shorten them and have the inboard clamp on the same 7/8" grip diameter. They are compact, light, rigid. Not sure how crash worthy they are, but they are not moving with any tree bump that does not put you on the ground. I don't plan on crashing anyway. :)

Good plan. Anything you can do to prevent triangulating the bars will reduce fatigue and lesson bending bars with a simple fall. Braaap on brother of the woods.

@@pvclassic Tonight, I just heavily modified a set of Cycra full wrap guards that are more compact, (do not clamp on the bar taper and can use the stock bar pad), clean looking, more rigid, (or can be adjusted to twist if you are worried about breaking your hand.), lighter, does not effect the bar dynamics (full wraps make the bars stiffer. Not mine.) From the front, they look like flag guards. I just finished them tonight and after some testing, I will offer the design to all the manufactures for 10 grand. First one to take the offer will make the best full wrap hand guards to date. Doug in Michigan

Good Video and thanks for explaining things as well as the wisdom on the guards. I plan on hitting some tracks this year and this made the decision for me on whether to use them or not. I do go to ORV parks as well which I may use them there. Just don't like the idea of cutting the end of my new hard grips. Any good suggestions for removeable handlebar plugs? I'm getting more dirt bike content up on my channel as well if you want to check it out and give some advice to me in my videos. Thanks again and take care! Andrew C.

There are alumn plugs you can use when you remove the guards, but frankly I never remove mine anymore. Totally get the grip cutting thing but I look at it this way, I'm bound to drop the bike and scuff them up anyhow. I'll check you out and sub you. Happy riding.

I just bought a te 300 and would like to get the clamp system that you are using to mount the guards. Can you post a link?

Not in a spot to research it now but they are avail on amazon and ebay. Best thing you'll ever add for your guards.

Husqvarna makes a part to convert the existing guards that come on the bike to full wrap
