You cut out all the challenging spots. Did you crash? It's cross country, but it's a test of endurance, especially the short, steep climb after the stream. The second half is pure exileration. But, looked like you rode backwards on that trail. Big no-no. Locals would not appreciate some yahoo screaming straight into them, especially at the wrong location. Next time, no matter what the stupid signs say, DON'T return on the same trail you rode out. Every trial is a big loop that should be followed in one direction for true SAFETY. Prospect was and always will be my favorite trail because it offers everything you want, in short sections, along a long, dynamic trail.

@deedub3 7 күн бұрын
What are you talking about? This guy is riding the downhill bike park trails. Prospect is multi use and multi direction, you can ride it either direction and as such should ride at a speed you can control. These dh park trails are bike only and no uphill allowed.

Does the 250 actually have more hit or do you just feel less of one compared to the 300 since the 300 is more bike leading up to the hit?
@pvclassic
@pvclassic 5 ай бұрын
Depending on where you set the power valve. But yes. The 250 has a shorter powerband and will spool quicker. I prefer that pop out of corners and off obstacles. I love the 300, had a xcw300 just after this Husky. But I'm now back on a 250. 2024 xcw250.

@@pvclassic good to know, thanks for the response. I ride a 200rr right now. Love it. Made the mistake of riding my friends new TE. The suspension is much better and the counterbalanced motor is crazy smooth. Never really needed more power on the 200 until I get higher up in the mountains. 250 may be the move
@pvclassic
@pvclassic 5 ай бұрын
@nickconsin2639 you won't regret the move. One think to think about, IMHO do consider PDS. Linkage bikes hold tight in corners and I love that but they just aren't as smooth through rough stuff. Ruts. PDS is king in ruts. Tracks low and straight in ruts where a linkage bike hops/chops. Just not as smooth. Good luck with it. Thx checking the vid. My others are older but could be interesting.

I have a few questions: What would you say your stopping range is in heavy snow? Where I'm from I get heavy winters and need A, stopping distance reliability, B, good on-road traction and C, good daily driving. So I want to know that I'm making a good investment. How long have those tires lasted you? I need something that I don't have to replace each winter [ haven't needed to, just an example ] the BFG's I have on my rig have lasted my quite a while but I am in the market again as the tread is low. Snow is my biggest concern out where I am as well as longevity, so if there is anyone who has had these tires and heavy/ 2 feet of snowfall per day at times in the winter, please feel free to reply to this comment and let me know your experiences.
@jaredkish8716
@jaredkish8716 9 ай бұрын
Lower tire pressure all means a greater contact patch with the tread to the road. Therefore more tire is touching and wearing on the hwy but gripping better off road. Like you said it fits your driving habits.
@pvclassic
@pvclassic 9 ай бұрын
Tire pressure is something manufacturers just don't want to discuss. But it's a game changer for off-road and snow/ice conditions.

I bought 35 inch Falken Wildpeak MT’s and drove 15k km with them. They are really tough and look awesome. Three drawbacks: 1. Weight (these tyres are extremely heavy) 2. Noise (more than I expected based on earlier MT’s I drove) 3. Extra fuel usage: +20% compared to BFG KO2’s same seize.

I remember when bark busters first came out, and some of my riding buddies got them for the woods. All the sudden any sapling tree too close to the trail was missing bark. One guy said he is hitting 2 trees at the same time (one on each side). I asked him how big can the trees be to just hit them? His reply, "Until the front wheel comes off the ground." :)

I didn't like my "Yamaha GYTR full wrap" clamping on the taper of the stock Yamaha pro taper bars either, and I want to use my stock bar clamp pad. So I am almost done heavily modifying them, (I have a little machine shop), to shorten them and have the inboard clamp on the same 7/8" grip diameter. They are compact, light, rigid. Not sure how crash worthy they are, but they are not moving with any tree bump that does not put you on the ground. I don't plan on crashing anyway. :)

I notice these tires taper in like a KO2 , i like a wide tire at the ground . Is there an advantage to why they taper ? I mean a KO2 is around 10.3 wide but only 9 inches at the bottom and for example a Nitto Ridge grappler is basically true to its 12.5 inch width . I dont get why they taper in at the bottom ?
