I just purchased the 2021 G80 3.5. Absolutely love it, power, looks and performance. I get a lot of looks being you don't see many of them on the road. I had a 2018 G80 prior and this one blows it away! I've had several BMW's six to be exact and will never go back....

I find it to be a compelling product. I’d definitely have the sedan. I wish the Sport model was actually sporty looking like the GV70 sport vs lux. From pics I’ve seen it looks “meh”. A true sport package on this car would be stunning!!

I just dropped off the GV70 Sport Plus and know what you mean. Something alone those lines for the new G80 Sport would be ideal.

Great general information abt the products as always But I'd personally like to hear more abt the driving experience in behind the wheel part in your reviews. Things like the steering feel if its sharp or numb, is the transmission fast and responsive, hows the acceleration compared to the others and if it delivers the claimed performance nice and smooth. As I said thats just my humble opinion these things may not matter to viewers who are not car enthusiasts and just want a commuting tool. Once again thank you very much for your videos 👌

Not sure how many people want their sedans since they don't sell. The GV80 is outselling everything else they make before the GV70 arrived.
@PRNTestDrive3 жыл бұрын
That's the unfortunate reality for the North American auto market. I think it's important for a luxury brand to offer a sedan as a choice, something Lincoln should have reconsidered. I see a lot of GV80s on the road and I'm spotting more GV70s.

Beautiful outside but the interior is good but u gotta do better to convince me inside, im not sitting on the outside lol. Awesome car tho if u never had any German b4
@PRNTestDrive Жыл бұрын
Very true! Personally I love the interior on these Genesis vehicles, especially compared with new German luxury cars that think large screens are all we need. Physical buttons easily placed are the best ways to make a great car.
@travisbruce5096 Жыл бұрын
@@PRNTestDrive lol you are absolutely right, almost all manufactures are screen happy and putting everything to access thru it which is annoying. I do love the gv70 interior the most of Genesis group
@jlsc41253 жыл бұрын
Thankfully, Genesis has not succumbed to the stupidity of most makers and have elected to only have the digital screen at eye level so you can watch the road. Unlike mercedes and worst of all tesla. Love this car, if I was in the market, it would be my choice. I would note that another reviewer drove one for a long trip and got 31.1 mpg in sport mode.

Not in the same category at all. If you want an HMG competitor, you should look at the K8 or the Grandeur. Sadly, neither one is available in North America.

The comparison to the competition is totally off. For one there is no Lincoln sedan anymore. Secondly does Mercedes and BMW not sell the E450 and 540i in Canada? Those are the competitors to this car, just as comfortable, have the same or more tech and they easily out perform the G80.
@PRNTestDrive3 жыл бұрын
They do, I haven’t featured them. I was talking about the cars I actually have experience with.
@johnholst3 жыл бұрын
Sure they sell those in Canada. But they're also tens of thousands of dollars more expensive comparably equipped. Not to mention they're not as nice inside or outside and certainly less reliable than the Genesis.
@MercOne3 жыл бұрын
@@johnholst Genesis reliability isn’t proven, and nicer is a matter of opinion. The German cars drive better and perform better with better drivetrains. You pay more you get more.
@johnholst3 жыл бұрын
@@MercOne Genesis reliability is proven. It ranks higher than any German car except Porsche. Yes, true, "nicer" is a bit subjective. But there's less shiny plastic in the Genesis and the design is far more interesting. Many reviews say the G80 drives better than the current 5 Series! And certainly better than the A6. No, when you buy a German, you pay more for less. Which is fine for many people shopping in this class. They only care about the badge and not really the car.
@MercOne3 жыл бұрын
@@johnholst No it isn't, all their newest cars are brand new from the ground up so no it isn't proven. Secondly most cars are reliable today and Genesis isn't some benchmark like Lexus so that argument is invalid. Again you're passing off your opinion as facts, that doesn't work sorry. What you find nicer isn't fact or what you find more interesting isn't fact. The 5-Series and E-Class outperform the G80 and they're also more efficient with their superior performance. Those are FACTS. A 540i or E450 will easily outperform the G80 3.5T. No you pay for a car that drives, feels, handles, drives better. No that tired BS about the badge is what people who talk about brands with no badge say. They got their "badge" by building superior cars. Better than is your opinion, not fact. Performance is a fact, and that is what the Germans do better.
