Hey im a fresher with bcom degree and i wish to study mba in india itself but i can't attempt cat 2020 cause of time constraint. Do you think its better to wait a year and write cat in 2021 or to write gmat in january 2021?
@jhumka_with_a_laptop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shakunthala.. since you are a fresher..you have both options equally lucrative...I'll say you decide basis on the college you are targeting. Checkout the list of colleges accepting GMAT score for freshers and CAT score respectively. Through GMAT you do lose access to the top ranked IIMs as the iim programs accepting GMAT are for experienced professionals. Whereas you do get access to iift and xlri alongwith over 50 other colleges. So it's really upto what colleges you are targeting. Hope this helps. Feel free to drop me an email at chalktalkswithnimisha@gmail.com for further queries.

Hi Nimisha, I am 31 yr old having 7 yrs experience of banking. I'm interested for 1 year MBA program. What's your opinion . Thanks in advance 😊
@jhumka_with_a_laptop3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Totally depends on your career goals, budget and ROI expectations. Speaking generally, ISB is an excellent option in India. You can also look at other 1 year programs in India (such as IIM-C). And if you aspire to work in abroad then look at foreign universities as well.

Hi nimisha, how difficult is it to complete the 1 year program at ISB. Plz share us your experience.
@jhumka_with_a_laptop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nithisha..in short, it's a roller coaster ride. It is definitely not easy because a lot of things happen simultaneously and also in a crunched time duration. It does take a toll on you if you allow it to. However, it's also fun and definitely doable. I'll make a detailed video on this :)

Is work experience necessary? I'm a post graduate in physics, studied few years for upsc, looking to do mba from abroad, my age is 27 and currently i have no work experience. Or am i too late considering the age and time of prep it may take?
@jhumka_with_a_laptop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Vivek. There are plenty of 1-2 years programs that do not require you to have any work experience. It is not too late to begin your working career. Moreover, your experience as a UPSC aspirant and/or any other experiences you've had can be added in your profile. In India, you can look for CAT based programs. Do checkout abroad as well. GMAT/GRE would most likely be the selection exam. As far as time of prep is considered, I would recommend you shortlist the programs first. And then spend 200-300 hours for prep. Considering you are used to preparing for competitive exams, it might take you even lesser time for GMAT/GRE. Hope this helps.

Hello, I am masters in engineering. I am working as scientist in govt research organization for 12 years. My quarries are 1. 1 year or 2 year 2. Which domain I should concentrate on doing mba 3. India or abroad
@jhumka_with_a_laptop3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pankaj. You need to be very clear about your post MBA goals and if you should an MBA at all. Only you can decide which domain you want to pursue going forward. With your experience, it'll be slightly difficult to change domains, however you can have a leadership position in your domain. Industry can shift. It's not impossible though. Again, the decision for mba india or abroad is entirely dependent on your post MBA goals. Goodluck with your future endeavours.
