I really appreciate all your videos and lectures. I am just past 8 months post shoulder op. This video together with the recent videos on external rotation at 90 degrees have been the missing pieces of the jigsaw. 80% strength regained and a few degrees short especially against any form of light resistance. Obviously as Tim had the same shoulder surgery in December 2019 he knows exactly what to pin point. Sincere thanks again

Bravo, this movement feels great. We will see if it gives me back that external rotation in a month, 40 years after surgery. I am hopeful. Thanks!

Great explanations!! 3 months out from proximal humerus fracture. Have been lost at home with my rehab, lack of progress with out knowing why. Especially with other video on external rotation with abduction at 90 and with this. Thank you.

beautiful exercise. Thanks for the inspiration. I have one question. Do you differentiate between the external rotation deficit due to mobility problems concerning the joint capsule and the surrounding tissues and external rotation deficit due to instability. I’m wondering if I can use this technique with patients with the same symptom but different cause. Maybe in a shorter range of Flexion right? Im thinking about loose anterior capsule and stiff posterior capsule. Thanks for your great work Mr. Keeley 🙏🏼

I think use it for both. At the end of the day you are trying get get the same movement back regardless.

Hey Tim, I love your content! I am 3 months removed from a shoulder surgery for my 2nd dislocation. What sort of weights and resistance band exercises can I do?? Can I do press ups? Any feedback would be great!

When would i assume my loss of external rotation is due to a tight capsule and not short lats?

Every time lol

@@physiorehab So I wouldn't do a lat muscle length test to rule out the lats? Can't short lats restrict external rotation while the arm is overhead?

Do you have a SERIES of Strengthening exercises after REVERSE shoulder replacement surgery. I’m not talking about the first six weeks I’m talking beyond!! there doesn’t appear to be anything offered here on KZbin.

No but following our shoulder surgery rehab program would be a good start. physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-shoulder-injury-surgery-rehab If you need a bespoke program I suggest you do a Telehealth session with us

Hey Tim! I've just noticed a few weeks back that the range of motion of my left arm is very limited when im doing pull ups. And when my wrist is supinated, I can't quite flex my shoulder joint through the full range of motion as well. Could this problem be due to reduced external rotation mobility in the flex position as you're describing in this video?

It could be. Perhaps try the exercise and see?

looks like a good exercise but please don't encourage your back arching during this movement. Perform a PPT first; engage your core to set it then perform the exs but stop as soon as your form breaks.
