I ❤ Block Therapy. It sorted out the osteoarthritis in my shoulder in just 6 weeks vs. The projected 12-18 months of physio, or facing steroids or surgery. I’m not giving medical advice, I’m just sharing what happened for me. Thank you Deanna and Quinn. 🥰

I never thought I would be interested in listening to a podcast about fascia, but it really is interesting. I wish I had found you years ago. The first time I decompressed the toes...OMG! I can suddenly digest cooked food after one time. How does everyone not know about this? Looking more into your program.

This is what’s happening with me. Right foot is very painful, Seamus bones rubbing together, so I believe it puts my entire body out of alignment. Locked up pelvis with 30+ years pain in my left hip, low back spasms and then all up my left side is in so much pain. My ribs are super painful and if I press on my rib I can feel it all the way into my jaw. I had a baby with colic 14 years ago and I had to hold her and bounce her all the time and I could only do it with my left arm for some reason. So I remember my arm going numb and becoming useless. The most intense pain I have is in my neck, skull and jaw/face. I can’t wait to start seeing more results with these issues and some relief. Thank you both for bringing us this healing.

I like that concept using the opposite side that I don't normally use on daily bases, to help me get more mobility with the other side of. My right shoulder interesting concept Deanna.

How do you work in the armpit? I've been a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist for over 30 years. I have been right side dominate unfortunately and have chronic right shoulder tension. The rib releases have been wonderful but I have tightness in the upper pecs. I'm hoping the armpit area can help release more. I even felt an increase of energy to my head after doing the rib releases. Thank you.

Hi Teresa! For the armpit we lay on our side, place the block on its side and slide it under the armpit. You can drop your arm to the floor, or you can keep it bent with your head supported in your hand. Once settled in you can slowly rock forward and backward as you search for the pain. If you bring your arm to the ground you can rest your head on your shoulder so that you don't tax your neck. Hope this helps!

Hi Deanna. I just recently found your site. And I am super interested in your work. Helping the body when it has inflammation makes so much sense! I never could understand why doctors said to fight it with ice. Thank you for your wisdom!! I have a question: my mom suffers with poly myalgia. She’s been on prednisone for 7 years and really wants to get off that. Has your system been successful at curing people with that problem?
@Fluidisometrics

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. Blocking can help with chronic pain issues like what your mother suffers from. You must not stop Prednisone without weaning off of it under a doctors guidance. She could try the Sampler program and see if she receives some relief doing it. Then talk to her doctor about weaning off the medicine slowly. Here is a link to the program. blocktherapy.com/sampler-program/

Another great episode! Sorry for the long message. If I have a "knot or trigger point"(chiropractors and message therapists called them knots and I can actually feel it). Sometimes its hard to get to it to "dissolve" them, I have a Thera Cane and I can press down on it, should I hold it for 3 minutes like the block? Also, the knot seems to be in the same place all the time so obviously I have not solved the problem as you would with blocking probably as discussed in this podcast in another area. Is there a chart on your site that details "if you have a problem on your shoulder then block this area" or a problem on your upper back or shoulder blade then block this area"? I realize we are all different but as a general rule do you have something like that? Thank you
@Fluidisometrics

Hi! Great question. When we are dealing with knots, it can be helpful to add direct pressure, but that is unlikely to solve the issue completely. There is also no direct answer for where the exact cause site for the knot is, as our bodies are complex and there are many cause sites for many areas. I would highly recommend the Starter Package for you (I'll link below). It is essential to get to the whole body, and the more you practice holistically, the more your fascia migrates back into alignment all over, and the trigger points are under less stress. I hope this helps! blocktherapy.com/starer-package-store/

@@Fluidisometrics Hi Deanna, I have the starter set, both blocks and several virtual intensives and at the moment a membership. I was just wondering if you had a resource maybe something like a chart that address "average" trigger points like you mention here on the shoulders then work this area (upper side rib and underarm). Just as a general rule. Thanks

Thanks for your great body advice; I find true relief when I do the blocking. But when I breathe properly, I find I get dizzy. Any advice for that?
@Fluidisometrics
@Fluidisometrics 11 ай бұрын
Hi, great question. It can be easy when we are trying to fix our breathing habits to breathe too deeply too fast which causes over-oxygenation. I would recommend breathing gently and softly, not too deeply at first but focusing on the action coming from your diaphragm and belly. Focus on exhaling more than you inhale, and add a pause at the end of the exhale. Don't push it, it will improve over time. I hope this helps!

Hi. Do you have any tips on growing hair back? Do you have any techniques that we can use to help increase the blood flow to the head and scalp?
@Fluidisometrics
@Fluidisometrics 11 ай бұрын
Hi, yes we do! The less adhesions there are in the fascia, the less stress and better flow there is to the head and hair. Scalp massages are popular for increasing blood flow to the hair, and Deanna likes to use hard surfaces such as a wall, the Block, or the edge of a bathtub to apply steady pressure and melt adhesions. For even better results, though, the entire body's alignment must be taken into consideration, as misalignment blocks flow to the head. Block Therapy would be wonderful for this, and if you have the Starter Package, you can access the Membership where there is a Hair Health class that many members of our community have had wonderful results with! The link to the Starter Package is below, if you are interested: blocktherapy.com/starer-package-store/
