Thank you both I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 20 years ago, I'm now a wheelchair user and haven't really felt my feet in years, they are numb, inflexible and prone to cramp, I knew dietary concerns weren't the only issue so I continued to look for alternatives and then your WonderFull video pops up in my feed. What I can say is even just 24 hours of doing these practices is showing results. I can feel my feet, stretch them and flex them and when I do walk I feel the connection and the flexibility of my feet, I've been a barefoot advocate since birth so really enjoying feeling my feet and a new stability. Thank you both so much, I've signed up to your Awesome channel ❤️🔥

Been a Reflexologist for 25 years . A massage therapist for 22. This is great information! .Also want to say I have always been drawn to getting my fingers between my clients toes and holding believing it will release so much in the body. Some clients cant handle the discomfort so I release pretty quickly. I love it for my feet!
@Stlouisbartending9 ай бұрын
Would you describe what you mean? How? If one is doing it themselves?
@dreamervanroom9 ай бұрын
@@Stlouisbartending do you want to go in deeply and stretch little movements to the right and left up and down. There’s no need to press so hard and quick that you can’t stand it. It’s best to be in a place where it’s sore but not hurt. You can use a little oil, but not so much that you can’t press in. You can just stay there and gently sink into but it’s best to go all around the area. You’re working on one level of depth and then do it again but deeper. Maybe the next day, even. What you’re doing is you’re stretching the fascia. You’re freeing things that are stuck together. Too bad we can’t get together in the world. KZbin doesn’t make that happen. Did I say you can hold it in sinking slowly I could tell you to look at your finger, your working finger, from the inside of your body. That helps you see things from the inside of your body. You can slowly grow that ability. All the best .

You know how you lace your fingers together sometimes in prayer? 🙏 ... your fingers hold on to the opposite hand. Well... doing this to the toes with your fingers is what they meant. Yes. It IS painful. And sometimes you can only get the first finger knuckle in. But with a bit of massaging and time (it took me 3 days) you'll be able to thread your fingers completely through. (This is awesome for bunions) it straightens out your toes. And you can bend your feet backwards forwards. Twisting side to side... releasing lots of tension in the feet. Your feet will feel heavenly....

Interesting about the feet as I had a car accident about 4-5 years ago and while in Tahiti a healer I met had me lay down on my stomach and asked the interpreter if I had had a bad accident! He looked at my top left foot and commented my veins were facing to the right- he said my heart was being blocked- I’d started doing heart exercises/ massages because I couldn’t breathe! After he worked on my foot I could BREATHE! He also asked if I had a baby- yes - I had 30 years ago! My babies stem cells were also blocked from assisting me stay well 😳😳😳! The baby stem cells have an effect and some stay in the mother after birth. Because the birth was traumatic my body had held the shock from that AND my accident! I’m going to do that pressure between the toes to ensure that my energy blocks if any are cleared- thank you!🙏💖

Okay, I am all in!!! I am so grateful for my feet but my feet have also been my nemesis for most of my life. I was in ballet, gymnastics and then bartended for 20+ years. I've had bunions on both feet and painful for the past 25+ years. My ankle kept giving way on me and had many sprains, which led me to having ankle ligament repair surgery, where the surgeon also performed an osteotomy on the same foot at the same time. Not good. Surgeon left the country for 5 weeks and was given poor aftercare. Needless to say, after 4 different casts and foot orthotics, my foot still wasn't healing correctly. I had PT for 7 months and went to a Brain & Body facility for 8 months after that ended. I am going to find your videos and exercises and follow you everywhere! Thank you for all of this pertinent information that makes so much sense to me. I continue to address my all over fascia in numerous ways and have since shortly after my surgery. I can’t believe I just watched this video! I was tempted to watch because just tonight the shopping channel was selling a deal on one of those “walking “ treadmills and I was thinking about buying it. I’m 82 and alone, so my walking is ordinarily done with a walker…. For-just-in-case…./ it’s simply for safety and not for anything else. So this walking machine is almost 800.00 and it’s taking some serious thought on my part. My apartment is small and a normal treadmill won’t do. I think your video is unbelievably timely!❤
@jodimorrison8 ай бұрын
Be careful when buying a walking treadmill that you have some kind of support bar or use trekking poles for balance as they are easy to fall off. I am 50 and just bought a used walking pad from a 60 year young lady because she fell off and got scared - thankfully not injured

@pennylacombe4763 @lesliebarrett4390, Are there any Community organizations nearby that have volunteers for walking with you? An auxillary women's group, like Red Hat Society or church? Perhaps a young women's group or school project? Look online for them, or local news or pamphlets in the mail may advertise them. We found a helper for my Mom when she got Alzheimers, so we could go food shopoing & take my Dad to the barber or doctor while she walked and had lunch with Mom. Ask if they can they spend an hour walking with you 3 times a week? It's great & so good for your health that you will be doing inside exercise. I'm just thinking it would be so much better if you could get outside, mentally, physically & emotionally... Maybe visit a local park & engage with someone walking by with a pet or sitting on a bench. I think you can accomplish a lot, even sitting in a chair, rotating & flexing your feet, raising, stretching and lowering your legs, until you can bicycle both legs. Use your walker or maybe a table or wall for support, raise up on your toes, maybe do one at a time until you build strength & balance. Then tip up on your heels & lower several times. Watch Motivation Doc & other doctors for seated exercises, may even be streamed on your tv! Look up Tai Chi on KZbin or tv as easy exercises for balance, mobility and strength. Lifting water bottles or canned foods helps your upper body as well as circulation.💪🏻 Wishing you all the best in Life! Namaste 🙏🏻 🤲🏻 🕊

Excellent to hear your comments about RICE! My TCM doctor thinks it’s a no-no and actually stops healing taking place. Hence the tissue massage TCM doctors do to stimulate blood and lymph flow to the area.

I so wish I had a trainer that does what you guys do. I am a 72 year old former athlete, still active, but am a mass of tightness. I can see the dominos going over as things start to hurt in the body, but dont know which string to pull out of this ball first. I am spending a fortune on chiropractors, but I go right back into former patterns. It is a physical Ground Hog’s Day.

I'm an Argentine Tango dancer so I wear very high heels, however, most Ballroom (and some Tango) dancers will cut off the toes of their shoes so they're able to splay their toes in order to better feel the floor as they walk back or to the side. Open-toed dancers have very strong toes. That between-toes facia stretching is amazing-ing, BTW. Game-changer for recalibration. I also do a lot of deep calf raises which strengthen toes, arches and ankles.

My feet hurt in winter but not in summer. Same shoes. I instinctively know while walking that breathing & looking in the distance immediately lines me up (like a flipped switch!) & instantly relaxes. And, in turn, relaxes my breathing, and eyes. (is a ‘circular’, cumulative thing). In the last few weeks not sure what to do re feet hurting, but twice did a good foot massage & in morning walked without pain. Each time thought “it can’t be that simple, there must be something else going on”. You seem to be saying yes it really is this simple. You are giving me permission now to relax with this discovery?? Thanks!

As a massage therapist I totally agree. I tell my clients if you get hurt gentle massage and hot water with Epsom salt ASAP and continually... I have had a couple of nasty accidents and I heal so much faster because of this. If we let the site of injury sit, then we develop tightness and adhesions and it gets worse over time

Whoa!! So much amazing information here! Oh how I wish I knew of all of this before or directly after having foot surgery. I couldn't weight bear for almost a year and since they did ankle ligament repair as well as an osteotomy on the same foot, there was no clear cut way of casting for both at the same time. Over 7 years later, I'm still suffering from the atrophy and the imbalance on both sides of my body, in so many ways. I have been doing a fascia protocol with specific tools for 7 years for healing the trauma of my fascia but I am thrilled I found Block Therapy. I believe this is the missing piece of the puzzle in my healing journey. I am almost shocked I didn't come across Block Therapy long ago! I am here now. 😊 Question: My hands are painful and using a drumstick between my toes is even difficult. I still did it though. 😅What is the best body position for doing this? I had my foot on a stool and was trying to keep my spine in alignment and do the diaphragmatic breathing but it was quite challenging. Do you have a any suggestions or will it get easier as I go along? I purchased the Starter Package, joined the Facebook group and am eagerly waiting for my block! I am ecstatic about the journey ahead with all of this! Thank you!! 🙏

Glad to hear! Have you tried doing the toe work? Here is a quick lessen on what to do! Place your fingers between your toes while applying pressure into the webbing. If you can't reach your toes use the handle of a wooden spoon, or thin wooden dowel. Put enough pressure so you start to feel the pain, but not so much that you can't breathe comfortably. Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between all toes, and do the work daily. See if this helps!

Put enough pressure so you start to feel the pain, but not so much that you can't breathe comfortably. Hold for 3 minutes. Do this between all toes. You will want to do this practice daily. I would also suggest you start breathing diaphragmatically. This is where you breathe into the belly versus the upper chest. Inhale through the nose and allow your belly to expand, then exhale through the nose and contract the belly. Do this until you are used to the action of breathing into the belly. My feet have definitely switched off since I started wearing orthotics for big toe joint pain and arthritis. I used to wear shoes but now I have to wear walking boots constantly and now even they are causing horrible burning pain along the outside of my foot and under the sole. I wear shoes with orthotics indoors. I would love to get the strength back into my feet again as I am finding it very painful to walk barefoot and sometimes I am tripping over when I am walking outside. I think my ankles might also be very stiff 😢

I also spread my toes and I started to try something called foot shortening but that was difficult to do. So far so good and the horrible burning along the outside of my foot seems a bit better 😀Thank you for your video. I haven’t watched all of it but I will do 😄

I have had foot problems for the past 15 years, along with lower back etc etc, I now have regular osteo therapy for back and chiropractic therapy for feet, it has helped enormously but every day is a challenge. I wish I could do the recommended spacing of fingers between toes but this is impossible being over 6 feet tall with of course the back problems! I have tried toe spacers but still incredibly difficult to put on without causing harm to back. Ultimately for anyone over 5, 10’’ tall trying to fit in a world where everything is built for a standard ‘average’ person we are going to suffer the consequences. Furniture, kitchens, car seats etc never fit and so we are at a disadvantage. Why don’t more designers make more adjustable options? The human race is generally getting taller so need to get on board.

Hi there! Perhaps try doing tasks with the opposite arm/hand or leg/foot to try to create balance. Eg. If you normally brush your hair with your right hand, switch to your left. Do as much of this as you can and it could help bring balance back. Block Therapy also helps with this be adding space back into those compressed areas.
