Literally every single detailer who actually knows and cares about their customer would not install a ceramic coating without at the very least a polish. The coating won’t even bond at its best without it being a freshly polished surface. Ceramic pro did it because they actually don’t give a fuck and just want your money. Same reason they charge out the ass for their “sport coating” when it’s actually just a spray sealant.

With the bird poop, "definitely don't wipe it off dry". why? It wouldn't scratch the 9H coating if it is actually 9H. So basically treat it like a normal waxed car? What does the 9H mean in this business? Any car that has been properly buffed and waxed will shine like that for a decent amount of time. Don't get what the advantage of this expensive process gives you. What is game changing about it? Also any time people start calling regular things like buffing and cleaning "paint correction and detailing" coupled with "not easy to apply" (i.e. don't try this at home - only use authorized technicians ) and you know there is a business model in place that is questionable.

Only a brand like them would apply a coating on a car without doing a pint correction first. I am (not anymore) an official authorised detailer applying CP and I can tell you it's not worth it. The product is just bad. You can achieve the same thing with a simple ceramic based shampoo from ebay
@KWW03215 жыл бұрын
I currently use the Gtechniq Crystal Serum professional coating and was debating buying into CP. What didnt you like about it? Thanks!
@vile01485 жыл бұрын
But if you're a certified installer for CP then you should know that paint correction is an extra fee. Some people don't want to pay for the correction work and want only the coating (understanding that it won't fill any scratches or swirls). And ceramic based shampoos/ soaps do not yield a permanent bond to the painted surface

@propershinedetailing47413 жыл бұрын
Good review but definitely disagree with almost everything. I say almost because you corrected yourself about the waterless wash and wax. But this is a very misleading video for anyone who doesn't know pro detailing or ceramic coatings. Example clay bar does not make your vehicle look good it actually makes it look worse by adding paint marring. It's a needed process before paint correction and/or ceramic coatings. Also I've done seasonal maintenance washes of a few vehicles coated with ceramic pro and either their installers aren't educated enough or their product isn't very good. Very little ceramic properties. Each customer was poorly educated on coatings. Example the last guy I spoke with said his 9h coating isn't hydrophobic because of how hard the coating is. Ceramic coating actually amplifies the surface so going with no paint correction is not recommended. As you said "don't cheap out" This is for anyone looking into coatings. As for the video creator, I'm glad you're satisfied. Try finding installers that use IGL Coatings, Gtechniq, Feynlab, and in my experience even consumer grade "chocolate milk" carpro cquartz 3.0 is more durable and last like it should.
@johndelano79253 жыл бұрын
Sorry dude you don’t know what you are doing. When the car is coated you should be touching the car AS LITTLE as possible. You should not be rubbing it down with a waterless was. Correct care would be washing the car lightly and using a leaf blower to dry the bulk of the water.
