Great song and great mix, the guitar is definitely speaking. I never was a fan of Signature alloy crashes but those Traditionals are really smooth, sound like air over the music.

Excellent playing, Matthias. And the drums sound amazing, as usual. But I'm curious about the big, tube-shaped things beneath your cymbals. What are those?
@MatthiasKnorrMusic4 жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan, thanks for watching. These things are called CRS (Cymbal Resonance System). They decouple the Cymbals (or Percussion Instruments) from the Hardware so you get the full sound of the Cymbal. So the buzz/rumble which we sometimes hear from the stands when playing, is gone with these. Kind of putting a cymbal on your finger and play it. They are amazing. I did a little test Video to check out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpXLYXqnrLCUZrc Just listen with good speakers or headphones

Matthias, Creative and in the pocket! Why are you not using the weckl snare? What sticks are you using? Thank you.
@MatthiasKnorrMusic4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, The Weckl Snare is great but I really like the sound of 42 strand snare wires on my 14“ Snaredrums. But it will be played again on one of the next videos sometime. Rohema Drumsticks as always.

So, this is basically like Oz Noy and Mike Stern hybrid like band. Great. How do you usually do remote sessions? Do you use WeTransfer for sending stems?
@MatthiasKnorrMusic4 жыл бұрын
thanks for checking it out. Yes, Mike Stern, Oz Noy, Pat Metheny, John Scofield are some big influences of Guido & Myself. I usually starts with an idea one of us has and we send them to each other. If we know how the song should sound like, we send some stems via wetransfer, correct. And this way I can provide drum tracks for other people as well, if someone would like to have me playing on their tracks.
