While Caroline Butler (Teri Garr, Tootsie) re-enters the workforce and becomes the rising star of her advertising agency, her newly unemployed husband Jack (Michael Keaton, Night Shift) finds himself a new job … as a stay-at-home dad! But if Jack thinks his old career in the automotive industry was tough, he has no idea what's waiting for him at home: the ins and outs of dropping the kids off at school, soap operas, woobies, babies with chili, a clean-up on aisle seven and a vacuum cleaner named "Jaws." Fine example of filmmaking. A simple but intelligent story. No cgi no crazy gotcha twists. Just a story held together by solid performance and writing.

Don't think we don't know what this film is trying to say...that men should work and that women belong in the kitchen? Really, it is not that difficult to shop at the market. The movie is trying to make it appear as if men are idiots in the supermarket.

This movie has so much heart. It's romantic. Martin Mull and Ann Jillian are trying to break up Michael Keaton and Terri Garr, and they are struggling, but the strength of their love wins out. All throughout the movie, even when theyre irritated with each other, their love shines through.. It's heartwarming. And funny.
