Ali came to Kennedy Square in Downtown Detroit to promote his movie. He was dressed in a shirt and tie. He challenged any one in the crowd to hit him. No one could. His speed was just amazing. He must have noticed me watching because as his limo was leaving, he waved to me.

You’re so right my friend. I miss these shows. Didn’t worry about being PC or offending anyone. If you put this show on tv now people would go nuts. Like you said both black and white stars laughed at the jokes. That’s because they all knew that it was all in fun. To many up tight people now that how have nothing better to do than to look for shit to get offended at.

The truth be known, the greatest fight of his life was against the United States government, with greater odds against him than he ever faced in the right. And he won that one too. That was his greatest victory of all.

Truly amazing! I see this video for the first time and I am grateful for it. It took me back 50 years, when my mother woke us up after midnight, to watch Ali's matches. Black and white TV. It was in Ex Yugoslavia, and unfortunately none of my family members are alive anymore! My mother in particular, my father and my two older brothers, like me, were everlasting admirers of Muhammad Ali.
