Please please PLEASE let us buy this as a DLC for Treasure Trove. I'm sure I speak for a lot of us when I say I want this included in that package! I would pay just as much for that as I would an individual release. EDIT: Just to be clear, I am saying there should be an option to buy this version of Shovel of Hope as an expansion of Treasure Trove. I understand that it will be a standalone release. I would be willing to pay the same amount you're charging for that, as I would a paid DLC for Treasure Trove. There should be two options.

I really hope this is DLC for Treasure Trove, and not a standalone game. It feels off to me to make new buyers choose between DX or Treasure Trove, instead of keeping Treasure Trove the definitive package for playing Shovel Knight and its spinoffs. Edit: Apparently, Yacht Club has confirmed in their discord their are no plans to allow the new content to be purchased as DLC for Treasure Trove. Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed in this. With every "new" character being directly ripped from Showdown, this feels like a blatant cash grab to fund their other projects. And considering how big of a hit Shovel Knight was, and the fact Mina the Hollower was crowdfunded, I fail to see a good reason why Yacht Club desperately needs the money other than poor management.

I don't know if I like this. Yeah it's cool we get to play as 20 characters with some QOL updates but it doesn't feel like it's worth paying for the game again when all the levels are just gonna be the same as what we've already played. Not to mention Shovel Knight can take a long time to complete with 4 campaigns and I really don't know if I wanna go through all that again. If this was DLC for Treasure Trove then I'd be all for it but since it seems to be a separate game, I don't think it's worth paying for again. I heard that the only thing keeping someone from playing this game to the end was the one hit kills from spikes. A rewind feature will alleviate this frustration for many people, but I also think having a feature where spikes only do a select damage value would still be a valuable option for those who don’t want to rely on rewinding every time they encounter a hazard.

This is cool, but if it’s not an update to Shovel of Hope in treasure trove I’ll pass. I already own TT in full on 3DS, Wii U and Switch. I don’t need the game a 4th time for some incredibly minor upgrades. Being able to play the main story with pretty much all the characters from Showdown is pretty awesome though.

MAIN QUESTION is are we getting any rearrangements of the greatest 8bit soundtrack ever written? No harm in leaving it as-is, seeing as it is that-good, just curious. I was really hoping for a graphical overhaul or something more meaningful than mixing together all the already made assets. But I'll probably buy it anyway. Like I bought shovel knight treasure trove 5 times.
