Totems can be used by any killer that uses a “hex” perk these perks are learned by the hag, but once learned through the bloodweb they can be used by any killer. Those perks are active as long as whatever totem the perk activated on is active. And active totem glows orange as the candle below it is lit. These activated totems can be broken by survivors, once broken the perk associated with it becomes inactive and cannot be used for the rest of the round.

Really should allow perks. Also Flashlight aren't THAT great. Guys are better off just taking a medkit unless you take the perk that allows you to self-heal. Self Healing would be an AMAZING perk since you don't need to have the 2nd person waste time healing you after unhooking. One I'd suggest for ALL of you is a perk that let's your allies see every survivor when someone is hooked. This way you don't need to really communicate or all go after a hooked person when you see one already sneaking over. Many combinations you can work with, even without going "meta". Jack would probably like Dwight's perks. He had teamwork ones where he gives a small % boost to nearby allies and can see them nearby. I for one like to be stealthy and use the one that removes my tracks quicker and silences my "loud" actions. Like slamming into a locker or sprint leaping over something. It's a good combination say a killer sees you in teh distance and you want to get away and hide quickly. Combined with Sprint Burst and it's a pretty nice combo of perks. Killers actually do get juked out by the sprinting into lockers. Since it's almost instant and without the sound queue they don't expect you to be in a locker .

The way they use flashlights gets them killed, they're good if you use them right (flashlight saves, blind through pallets etc) I would honestly love to just sit down with them, show them how to play properly and teach them the basics like what hex totems are and how to run a killer around a bit longer as well as showing them the good perks and decent perk builds

Totems can be used by a lot of killers. Its an offering and they can put jinx's on, making the repair rate slow, skill checks more frequent, struggling harder. Normally they make the progress bar's red is one is on, then you need to cleanse them to make the repair/struggle/progress bars normal again. :)
