Great to see I am not the only one to have an ex-mine Hilux who likes the basic format they come. I am still getting the red dust out of it after 8 years. Did you use a DC to DC charger for the second battery? I am thinking of build a small canopy like yours, do you have an plans, drawing, photos or measurements?

Hey David, Yeah mate, the Hilux has treated me well over the years. Never left me stranded. But that red dust... whenever you want to work on your car, you need a shower inbetween haha Yep, DC-DC charger, running a Ctek DS250a. it's been great. For the canopy, I don't think I kept the drawings, but I can measure it next time I see it (Lux is at the smash repairs after a lady pull out infront of me) from memory it's 600 high and maybe 1100 deep by 1500 along the tray. I am in the process of upgrading to a full alloy canopy at the moment. hopefully I should be bringing some build videos for that as we go. - Damien
