Beth Bloomer - I agree. I remember at school one time I had forgotten my shoes and had to do the lesson in bare feet. We started by splitting into two groups and hitting hockey balls across the games hall at each other... not fun... not fun at all. About that time, some of the boys did shinty which is like hockey but you can hit the ball when it’s in the air. Needless to say, there were quite a few injuries so they stopped that fairly quickly.

Ah, I'm so glad you guys are giving Mystery Dungeon a segment. Admittedly, the small gameplay segment you played is literally a fixed tutorial so it doesn't get into the meat of the game, but I suspect you guys might genuinely enjoy the game if you're willing to look past the fact it's a little rough around the edges graphic-wise. The stories these games tell always start deceptively simple, but then just have you sobbing by game's end.

Regarding the Pokémon episode where Meowth teaches himself to speak, he did it to try to win over the affections of a female Meowth, but gets rejected. The backstories for all of team rocket are actually quite tragic and sympathetic in the anime series. They were all bullied or outcast for one reason or another.

When Meowth asked Oxtra (the Totodile) "What are you going to do?" right after they got their reward, I instinctively assumed Luke would throw it all into the lake for safekeeping (in the vein of Dob, of course). I was surprised that he didn't, but it was nice to see that Luke shades his fictional characters differently from each other!
