Alot of these 80's Showa Japanese culture, I experienced during my time in Hong Kong in the 80's. The reason why a Chinese devs would make an nostalgic Japanese popculture game could be that during the 80's. When Mainland China opened up to the world, one of the first entertainment that came into China was Japanese culture where China imported Cartoons, Popmusic (that got a Cantonese remake, like the title song of this game had a Cantonese version by Lee Hacken), manga, Snacks, toys and even videogames like Famicom. I recognized most of the toys and cartoon reference in there.

The only thing i'm concerned about is the performances. Game with UE5 tends to have this problem, especially when it is being developed by indie devs. But finger cross, as long as there isn't game breaking bugs or anything too serious, even locking it to 30 fps...i'm okay with it and will definitely buy it when it comes out.

Literally everything in this game EXCEPT for combat looks absolutely freaking phenomenal. But I have such SUCH a distaste for Dynasty Warriors/JRPG-style combat with all the asinine mmo-ish damage numbers and hordes of enemies. If this just had slightly more grounded and less you vs horde all the time combat I'd be 100% in on it. I'll def check it out anyway cause the premise is fucking amazing, but I really hope the combat is way better than it looks.
