I felt really sad to,and at the time I was 15 and was in the hospital I had Cancer,(leukemia) and it was all over the morning shows,and the nurses all seemed quite sad. As was my mom too. She called me to say good morning and to ask if I wanted or needed anything. And I had told her,and she was rather sad too. She was truly a national treasure. It was sad she And Desi had a failed marriage. They were an incredible team !

She was so intelligent. She really was talented and a much more versatile actress than many people realize. I saw some B films she appeared in during the 30s and she really was a great actress. Despite the fact that she wasn't really the type at the time, she was still so talented that she was cast in many roles. Her talent was very respectable and she herself was well regarded. She drew a lot of inspiration from an actress named Carole Lombard.

Everybody Loved Lucy. I remember the day she died. My mother called me crying. Lucy's shows from I Love Lucy to her following shows were a family staple in my house. And the best thing of all, Lucy was the one who helped bring Star Trek to fruition. Although she even turned down an offer to be a guest star on the show, she remained a fan of the show.
