Joke is a song that is absolutely fantastic even if it was meant as a “joke”. Namjoon shows that he is indeed a monster and that he is an incredible rapper. He shows his skills very well and his lyrics hold a great message that is conveyed perfectly with the instrumental, the choice of words and the rhythmic diversity. It isn't just about dissing "fake" rappers and laughing at them: this song is a way to criticize a certain rap culture that he looks down upon. This song is impressive.

People from Germany are Germans, people from Korea are Koreans, people from Brazil are Brazilian. Yet, in the U.S. there isn't another word to group the citizens by. They're just called "Americans", they don't have another name. I know even in a lot of other countries that's what they call people from the U.S. Sometimes you may hear North Americans, but that still includes Canadians, so that isn't used much. You are right though, that technically there are many countries that count as "American", but they tend to have other identifiers they may call themselves.

In addition to that people would try and shade his rap skills, saying he had no skills and no flow. So he made this song as 'joke' to show off his flow and speed and also shade back on the criticism by pointing out that you can rap as fast as you want but if you're just saying nonsense then what's the point? Hence there's no hook, just bars after bars and some nonsense words like 'bibbidy bobbidy.. *Joke is an intelligent sattire for people who think rapping fast without any meaningful lyrics and flow is cool or good.* The bibbiby babbiby verse you heard him say is the joke of him dissing the mumble jumble rappers. Joke is not just "fast rap" with no meaning. RM is the KING of wordplays. He focuses a lot on lyricism, double/triple entendre and flow. He gets his inspiration from 90's hip hop if you wanna check out his first mixtape. but simply the other rappers are making fun of him because he can't rap fast and only focus on lyricism which is why he made this song for them. he said "hit me" at the end to allow others to diss him again. but nobody did anything yet. King's shit. fun fact: RM was at one point one of the top students in all South Korea, boy is a GENIUS... *In short, RM GENIUS SONGWRITER OF THE CENTURY.* His rap is not only skillful but extremely intelligent. n this song Namjoon (RM) is mocking the people that call themselves “rappers” when they aren’t real ones. It is well known that he, as well as Yoongi (Suga), was an underground artist and that he was being looked down at because he became famous as an idol rather than pursuing a career as a rapper. I think that this song is a way for him to tell them that no matter what path he took and how people perceive him as an idol, he is still a rapper and he has the skills that they don’t. He basically laughs at them and at how pathetic they are, pointing out how different their leagues are and making them feel insignificant. He even brags about how writing the lyrics took him just a short time and that it is easy for him to do so. We don't know exactly who are the ones he dissing but we know for sure that one of them is B-free, who talked a lot of sht about them. He raps his lines with such ease and skills. Some lines are incredibly genius if get the sarcasm and you analyze all the references and some lines don’t make that much sense, but since he is laughing at them, it does make sense in the end. It isn’t a regular dissing song: it is truly like a joke to him. They are a joke, his situation is a joke and writing this track feels like a joke too. I just love so much how he laughs at them for writing meaningless lyrics about overused topics and stereotypes while he kind of does in this song as a Joke. Like come on, RM killed it. 🔥🔥 Fun fact: Namjoon mentioned that he once wanted to be a poet so no wonder why he's so good. Actually, in Korea he's known as "The Philosopher Who Raps" because his work and incredible insight are admirable when they take a look at his lyrics - that all range from incredible wordplay, poetic metaphors, and a perfect and raw encapsulation of what it means to be human. Besides being a genius with a 148 IQ lmao RM is probably my favorite soloist. I just LOVE his voice, lyricism, his fast and slow raps, concepts and basically every song. 💜Thank you for the reaction!

You guys can't even get your information straight. this is not an official music video this song is from a mix tape not an album. Only album songs are released through HYBE labels formerly known as big hit entertainment or big hit music labels! I've searched for this performance or song and it is uploaded to BangtanTV anything oh bangtanTV is not an official music video. BTS upload things like reactions to their own music videos, their festa activities like dinner parties and special performance releases. Run BTS, in the soup, bon voyage variety shows none of these things are music videos. none of these things are on albums therefore they're not released on official labels of HYBE labels corporation. I'm pretty damn sure if you paid attention to the title of this video it did not say official MV!

Rap monster/Rapmon/RM RM stands for Real Me Generally you watch the MV, then lyric video and then a explanation to the song amd video. When it comes to kpop its best to watch the MV, Audio or studio version and the lyric video or just watch the Mv then rewatch the video with CC on. Don't do it with CC on the first time because then you can't fully focus on the song or mv and you get distrayed by reading the lyrics that you miss the actual video You should check out both of his albums now his 2nd album Mono Playlist it's more about mental health but also had positive stuff in it, same with Agust D and Jhope ( they are the rap line in BTS) BTS started as a hip jop group so there's a lot of hip hop influenced in what they do. Me I've been watching foreign things and listen to music and watching stuff in pretty much every language so I can watch or listen to stuff without subs and understand it but I can also have on CC and read what is being said while watching/listening to watchs being shown at the same time. I'm good at multi tasking, some people can't which is why they usually do a video where they react to thw Mv and the lyric video so you understand and get the feel of both. If your reacting to Kpop or only krnb khip hop and rap then you should do both Mv first then Lyric vidoe
