I agree about the handwriting thing at 2:28 When I was in Grade school there was this woman, Denise who would always take me out of class for 'tutoring sessions' in the library when I was in the third grade. However, what was really happening in the library had nothing to do with my difficulty with math. She was making me learn to write in cursive and would shout at me about how stupid I am and how I can't do anything right. She would mark my work with an F and make me start over if I cried, which I did, all the time. I was just a kid. It didn't help that the Librarian was always in there and did nothing to intervene. As a result of this I harbored a lot of resentment towards her as well and she would ask me why I would always ignore her when she spoke to me. I am still terrible at math but I can write in my own beautiful cursive font that I get a lot of compliments on. Over the years, whenever I wrote something for a teacher that I did not like, my handwriting would be very basic, not messy and still very legible, but just not in fancy cursive. None of them could ever understand why and how I can so easily flip the switch and 'forget' how to write nicely. I am 30 years old now.
