Been wondering where you have been. I got some favorites I watch and you are one of them. Thanks for the video.

Great ideas! Knowing I didn’t want to winterize and de-winterize a trailer, I bought an Aliner Scout a couple of months ago. I have a sink so I don’t have to try to carry pans of dirty water down the step. A simple drain into a grey water jug works fine. I’ve been debating what to do about a shower. The Zodi seems like it’ll work well with the shower head holder you created and a tarp clip. Thank you for the video!

Totally agree! Wish we had done more soul searching before we bought ours with too many things we don't really need. Live & learn I guess

Hi Alice - Thanks for the very instructive video on the shower install. It looks as if the pump provides plenty of water pressure. Bob

I have a flagstaff aframe and I completely agree with you on the tanks, i just dont want to mess with winterizing and dewinterizing.... its just more work hahah! I dont do any boon docking right now but love your willingness to share info!

Yes more work on these trailers is easy to come by even without the winterizing

Well, we used very cheap vodka to protect our water pipes and pump. Worked well and was easy. We now has a teardrop and no tanks. We use, when permitted, a shower tent and etc. If going small, go easy.

Didn't know about the Vodka!

I love it! Hot and cold running vodka! I have a 50 gallon fresh tank in my vintage class A. I wonder what 50 gallons of vodka would cost me... LOL.

Clever shower solution.

The yellow coloring of that piece of pipe/fitting is normal. It is characteristic of that type of pipe. The white pipe fittings are a different type of plastic. One is PVC and the other is CPVC. One is safe for hot potable water and the other isn't. But since you aren't actually putting water into them, it's just an academic point.

Thanks for another nice video! All good ideas! What brand is your pop up shower tent, and have you been happy with it? We have a nice one that uses tent poles, but because it's a little harder to setup (especially with one person) I've been thinking about a pop up one instead.
@averagealice88776 жыл бұрын
We have a Wolfwise (I added a link in the description). So far it's been great - very spacious, pops up instantly (there are other KZbin videos on this), no poles to mess with, but the fabric looks like it can be damaged pretty easily if you're not careful, like don't allow any branches to poke the walls. And it takes practice to master the folding technique. And you must stake it down if there's any breeze at all but there are plenty of loops top and bottom for staking.

When using shower inside the a liner, what are you using on the bottom to collect the water?

Our Aliner came with a shower cabinet/stall and a drain, BUT some people recommend using one of those plastic concrete mixing tubs from a home improvement store - various sizes exist

Melt the cut ends of the paracord with a lighter to prevent fraying.

Are you no longer creating videos? I have watched all that I see on KZbin but none recently.

Hi - Thanks for asking. I might put out a couple in the next month but family/life/medical issues have come up.

um ok daft point here what is a navy shower?
@averagealice88775 жыл бұрын
dtec30 You only spray water when absolutely necessary. So you might spray to wet down, then soap with water off, then spray to rinse. We spray into a cup or a washcloth sometimes for more control

Winterizing isn’t that hard. We do our 28ft TT in an hour. You are making things much harder than they should be.
@averagealice88775 жыл бұрын
Laurie L I should have clarified “de-winterizing” which took a whole afternoon and rinsing with bleach. We enjoy off-season trips which often get down below freezing anyway so our tanks are useless unless we do a lot of upgrading to the Aliner
