A well played game from Dubov as he is a very strong player but Caruana is simply something else. The amount of positional calculations in this game from the sacrifice till that insane king walk and infiltration of the position is just too damn impressive. It shows how Caruana is an outstanding strategist of another caliber and making the video title is just on spot. Fabiano Caruana is a monster and I Can't wait to see his performance in the upcoming candidates.

Doesn't Rxg5! work much better than Bb3 in that endgame? You ensure getting a queen into the game and white needs to make a move before he can queen so you have defending chances. E.g. Rxg5!, Kxg5, c1Q!, Kf6 (or wherever as check will follow), Qf1! Kg6 (wherever), Bg8 and then black still has defending chances as he might be able to either find a perpetual or a stop for the pawns depending on how the endgame develops.

14:20 ---> what about rook takes bishop with check, king takes rook, then queen the pawn with another check.

Rook takes bishop, Pawn takes, black queens, white queens with check which is forced capture with the bishop, rook takes queen, black loses quickly there after

On 14:20 cant you sacrifice the rook for bishop to make a queen ?

That would not work, because after Rxg5 hxg5 c1=Q g8=Q+ Bxg8 Rxc1. Black will be down 2 pawn and the exchange.

4:09 what about Rxe7 with the threat Bxf6+ followed by Rxd7 ?

black can give up the pawn temporarily, will just move bishop to e6 and then white will have his rook in a weird position but also will have no way to protect his passed pawn.

11:40 - why couldnt black just exchange a rook for a bishop & a pawn at c7?

why not Nc6 instead of Kf8? Nc6 attacks the rook and the knight. White has to capture on c6: Nxc6 then Bxc6 and black is fine.
