I can’t believe how patient and for a long time the elephant holds her foot still. I think she understands she is being helped. Great animals with a lot of understanding. Thank you for helping this beautiful animal .

If she did not trust these people and know she is being helped. She would not allow them to treat her wound. She is a several thousand pound animal and if she did nor want to be there. There is little a few people could do to stop her.

Actually she is asleep, standing up... I've found a lot of elephant rescue & treatment stories from India, they dart the elephant and wherever possible, they treat the injuries with the dozing elephant standing.

I don't think the elephant stepped on a live landmine. Rather a piece of shrapnel was lying about and it became embedded in the sole of the foot.

He said it's just common sense. I've been close enough to an elephant that I could feel the warmth from it. Good times with pops.

So the title of this video in the small description. It said this injury is caused by a landmine. I would think if this elephant stepped on a landmine whole foot would have gone kablooey. And she wouldn't have a foot stand on in the front.
