They only say that because he doesn't play sped-up songs and bleep bloop songs like Acai and Randy do. He can hit patterns like that if he wants to, I think, but it's not as interesting. DragonForce is interesting because they shred like they do within the confines of a song with progressions and sections. Plus, in my own experience, oddly-timed notes and weird progressions with seemingly no pattern like there were at the end of this run are sometimes much harder to hit than a defined pattern thats's just insanely fast.
