Now you have taken me back to the 1970s @9:03 while building a National grid cable tunnel under the rivers Severn and Wye at Beachley. We mined two sections by drill and blast as the Two McAlpine rock headers could not handle the Limestone rock fast enough. We drilled 10 ft deep holes in a circle pattern with a center burn cut. The face was then charged with 1.5 cwt of ICI Noble tunnel gelignite fitted with different timed detonators starting with the burn cut. After the reak smoke had cleared a compressed air Eimco loading shovel would lo0ad Hudson narrow gauge skips and be hauled out of the heading by Clayton battery powered locos. Later the tunnel was lined with precast concrete segments and sealed with cement grout. Water ingress was 1,800 gals per min, and this was reduced by the end of mining to 25 gals per week. So good to see the old plant in action at the Shrewsbury show. Thanks for posting and taking my mind back. I spent most of my working life building tunnels around the world.

This would have been a great video, but the cameraman didn’t stay on any one machine long enough to see the details and waving the camera about so much that I felt giddy and couldn’t watch it anymore

You don’t know what your talking about waiving the camera round, I thought the camera person done a great 👍🏼 job.
