Four months of trail camera action from the Picayune Strand State Forest (and maybe a little from the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park) in southwest Florida. But you didn't hear that from me.

I too am curious what caused the policy change banning trail cameras. Seems like appreciation of nature is part of their mission, and it's not causing any harm. Still some good footage from outside the boundary. Those tiny bear cubs didn't even seem old enough to be following mom around. The skunk was cool too.

Arizona only banned them "for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife, or locating wildlife for the purpose of taking or aiding in the take of wildlife,” they are not banned for entertainment like what Tim is doing here. I don't know of any ban in Florida and I assume you cannot hunt in a wildlife sanctuary.

Another amazing video Tim. It sucks that there are places that don't want trail cameras, it's not like you are bothering anyone or intruding on anyone's privacy. Also "they" are losing out on all the excellent information that you are gathering on certain animals that are rarely seen: ie, the spotted skunk, and the everglades mink. Not to mention I would think that the biologists would love to see your videos on the panthers especially the ones with collars. But, it's all good, you'll find bigger and better places to set up I am sure you will continue what you love to do for all of us that really enjoy seeing your episodes. Keep up the amazing work and videos brother!!!

@@ShrikeZone true, it's just to prevent the passerby thief not caring power tools or a chainsaw. I worked out an arrangement with the New Jersey Park Service that allows me to use the security boxes mounted to dead or diseased trees. Lost too many Cameras and Python cable lock to hand tools. It was getting to the point were I was going to end all research on public lands. So far, the security boxes have worked for 3 years without any loses. Sucks we have to worry about this, but its a sad fact of life I guess. Sorry... and hope you can get a replacement trail camera. All my best wishes.
