Merry Christmas, Tim! Thank you so much for this wonder Christmas gift to all of us! My husband gave me another trail cam for Christmas. This is my 4th one and I can't wait to set it up out near the farm field behind our property. We've been getting a lot of different animals out there lately. About 2 weeks ago we had 3 Sandhill Cranes scrounging for corn and several deer ran past them. Four of the deer stopped for a look around while the others took off going south. After about 20 minutes, those deer took off north. Early this week there were 2 Swans, also scrounging for corn, across the field behind our barn. And just 2 days ago I spotted 2 Bald Eagles out in that same field. The part of Ohio I live in has the most nesting eagles and we see them almost every day. It's a sight I will not ever tire of. That cam is going out near that field!

@@ShrikeZone those swans I saw were actually Trumpet Swans, which are very common around here. But we have regular swans too. Lot's of birds around here all year. We live less than 10 minutes away from the Black Swamp Bird Observatory, which hosts the biggest week in American birding every May. Last year I set up one of my trail cams on the property next to ours and I caught the most awesome pictures ever! A Mama fox and her 4 babies! They were living under the small barn there.

Saw a Florida Panther west of Jupiter back in the early 1990’s when I was riding & training horses out there. Crossed over the trail in front of me! I thought it was a Golden Retriever at first. And then it stopped & looked at me! This was a smaller panther. Was estimated only about 70 left in the wild at that time! It was back before they began breeding in the larger cougars they find out west to help repopulate them. Great video and Merry Christmas all 🎄

The drone sounds almost like a swarm of bees. Gives a different perspective to your video, lets us see what the area looks like. Would like to see more aerial videos of the area were you set your cameras out. Have a couple spots I would like to set cameras out in, but I just do not trust the folks that run around up there. Love those two deer, the one who was chasing after a doe across the bottom , with his tail all flared out and the one at 08:44 date stamped 10/09/2021,my B'day, where, I assume it is a deer fogging up the lense by snuffling the camera.

Hey Tim,what is the distance range on that drone? Also if you spray some permethrin around the tree above and below your camera it will keep the ants and other insects out of your camera thus preventing damage!
@ShrikeZone3 жыл бұрын
I think the range on the drone is 4 or 5 miles. I've had it a little more than a mile away from me and it still had a strong signal to the controller.

That coyote smelled your scent the next day after you were there. He looked around in panic and got out of there quick. That big buck had his tail erect up high when he ran then the coyote came running after. It was good to see the coyote missed his kill on that run. Nice work!

Great videos. Good rut action for sure. Wonder what freaked that 1 doe out. I have 5 Browning cameras in the National Forest. Some deer freak out and some pay them no attention. Always at night when they freak out. Coyotes freak out way more than deer. When they discover the camera they are normally going to tear out. You do a great job flying that drone. Be looking for the next bunch of videos.
@ShrikeZone3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gary. Those cameras put out a faint red glow during the night videos. I can see the lights so I know the animals can too. Seems like the deer and coyotes notice it more than other critters.

Excellent video, Tim ... love your content. Question... did the sow with the four piglets go missing? Or did she abandum them? Or did she run past off camera and the piglets just ran past in front of it? _Side note, I usually hate seeing hogs enter the scene... but momma and her piglets was a happy change for a change from all the deer... granted there were some other animals later on. Looking forward to some foxes at the back of your parent's place!!! ... Merry Christmas and despite how bad 2021 (and 2020) was for most of us... let's make 2022 the best year so far!!!_

Agreed, that big 8 was totally killable in mid -late Oct. That big 9 with the tall G2s was an excellent buck. That 6 was also nice, he should be taken out cause he looked like he was at least a 3.5 year old, and his genes aren't as nice as the 8 & 9.
