Just subscribed to email list (the link didnt work earlier on opera browser on mobile). Anyway, one of my 7 berried shrimp molted and let go of the eggs with the shell. I saw on yt to remove the eggs from the molt and put it in a net above the air bubbles to still have fresh air run through. Do you think this could work? Shes pregnant for the first time and i heard it is normal for them to accidentally drop the eggs at their first pregnancy. Love your vids

I have a question, i have 2 shrimp, had 5 but only 2 survived. They're a teal color blue but their shells on the top have turned yellow, its not that sickness, its the actual exoskeleton color. Is that normal? Bad genetics?

Hi. Oddly, I have a yellow shrimp that has done the same thing. I have not seen it before. The only thing I have done differently was to move it to a tank with white gravel. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've never understood the mentality - Aquarium £400, cabinet £200, canister filter £250, LED lights £200, heater £40, air pump £30, substrate £30, total spent so far £1,150. Plants, nets, hoses, meds, food maybe an additional £150? That's £1,300 outlay but I'm not spending £4 on a shrimp when I can get one for £1. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

id like to have shrimp but i think my water is too hard and they cant molt. tried a small amount and they turn white and end up dying at some point.

Best way is to find local hobbyists and buy from them. The shrimp are already used to the tap water and quality and will have less chances of disease.

Sir at my shrimp tank my water parameters are Ph7.2 ppm Ammonia 0 ppm Nitrate 2.0ppm And Nitrate 5.0ppm is that good kindly say your opinion love from India

Hi. Ideally you want the Nitrite to be 0ppm, but in reality, some of the liquid test kits never read 0. Adding some live aquatic plants will mop up any nitrites if you do have them 🫶🏻
