thanks for breaking this down for me. I have been keeping freshwater fish for over 10 years but have just set up my first Nano tank (Fluval Spec 16) and am going to be putting some shrimp in it with some Ember Tetra and Scarlet Badis. But I had no idea what shrimp to get, I tried getting cherry red shrimp once for my larger community tank but they all died, and the only shrimp I have ever had success keeping are the waterfall shrimp and the Singapore flower shrimp. So I had no idea where to start with the little shrimp, your easy to understand breakdown has made it super easy now for me to decide to go with the neocaridina because their water parameters match up with the fish the will be living with. So anyway that was super longwinded, but thanks super great informative video.

Measure your tap water, knowing the base levels can help you fix an issues in the tank. Anything in particular you're struggling with?

My tds is low due to my water being like spring water. I have a active substrate that keeps ph on the higher side. Which I need I have soft water.

Tiger shrimp live in neocardina environments 😱

They can but from what I have seen they seem to do better at around the midway point between the bee shrimp and the neo shrimp.
