@@fuzzybearbarian Yes, stupid idea as most level boss fights are often 1 on 1 and it would of been far better for large bosses like this to be on their own. Also the fact that Kena's arrows take forever to recharge.

@@jane1975 My view on minions in boss fights is they are only ever put there when the boss fight design itself isn't up to speed. I can imagine the board room meetings. "This boss hasn't turned out how we wanted, it's too easy, any ideas?" "How about we add a bunch of extra enemies to help the boss?" "Great idea Gary, let's do it!"

Perfect! I used rot hammer a lot on normal, because I don't have rot arrows. Using heal flowers helps, because I have a booster that increases damage after being healed. If it is possible to use rot hammer on him immediately after the heal - perfect.

The arena seems a lot bigger than when I do it. I don't know how you manage to keep so much distance between you and the minions. I tend to get stagger locked by them.

It's kind of hard to see but what I try to do is not run away from them but run close to them, then dodge away from them. Doing that means they attack you, and after that they pause for a moment allowing you to gain distance. Most of the time you don't see that here because they are usually to the side or behind me and not on screen. But the whole fight I'm conscious to try to get close enough to them to trigger them to do their attacks while I dodge and run away.

I did this boss on Master, and while I didn't do it flawless, I did find rot bomb very helpful in being able to hit all the critical points early on. Rot bombs are also nice because you can generally regen 90-100% of your courage from the follow-up attacks. Just have to be mindful that the little adds can still hit you if they're also not inside the slow-down field. Rot bomb, shield trigger, bow strike critical point, 2 or 3 more bow shots then dodge away, pick up the dropped courage restores from the shot critical points and repeat.

You don't have bombs available entering this fight. You'll get them during the quest for the smith, after you defeated Taro.

You must be confusing this with another boss. You don't have rot bombs yet when you encounter this boss.

This isn't master difficulty...u start the fight with no courage instead you have courage

there's a perk that lets you start a battle with a rot action. they probably have that
