There’s an Antonov seized in Toronto Pearson haha. Ironically it was built in Ukraine but Russia likes to think it’s a Russian plane. Part of the reason why they’re mad. Can’t do much without pretending they are the Soviet Union. Put it another way California or Canada have similar GDP.

Why's nobody interested in two fresh 737-900er delivered to Rossiya in 2023? How after all sanctions it's still possible to receive new (nearly new) jets in 2023? Pls check it up, it's really interesting. Both jets have already been used and there're photos of them on planespotters with Rossiya liveries

Indonesia has not sanctioned Russia, therefore Indonesian owned aircraft were bought by Russian companies and could be flown in without no problem. Only western NATO allied countries have sanctions on russia, most of the world including Indonesia do not

737-900? Then those planes were not brand new, the NG variants (700, 800 and 900) ceased production in 2019 once the MAX variant production was fully established. Russia bought second hand planes to a third country, which is not surprising. We might see similar cases happen more as the sanctioned Russian airlines struggle to find aircraft in the future.
@user-hu7zc4wf8f
@user-hu7zc4wf8f 5 ай бұрын
@@osasunaitor it's still strange that it's possible for fully sanctioned country to buy a nearly new (5 years I think is almost new) 737-900er from Indonesia airline without triggering secondary sanctions to Lion Air for those decisions. If we talk about creating spare parts hunger, why it's impossible to create new aircrafts hunger? Russia will begin wholesale purchasing of nearly new planes to support its fleet in flying conditions... and then other third parties will buy previous Russian jets that need maintenance as cheap variant of starting business. All this doesn't look like effective sanctions if it's still possible for Russia to buy 5-year 737-900er)))

Looks like it will shrink even further and from what I can see if they are directly least from another carrier they would be returned to the rightful owner. Likewise if SU had B777-3B5/ER B777-367/ER B777-3F6/ER in the fleet list from another carrier that they would have been returned to the original owners Korean Air Philippine Airlines and Cathay Pacific. I wonder if IL-96-400M will join the fleet.

@EpicThe112 no, IL-96-400M is only for president and government, I know it because I am Russian. I guess it will depend on how the Russian carriers handle this after the war is over and sanctions are lifted. The airlines may strike a deal with the leasing companies so that the planes can be used on international routes again, as long as the sanctions are lifted at some point.

@@leonardgrant6876 The Russian government additionally subsidizes tickets for large families, young people and pensioners. Even without this, flights in Russia are not expensive, for $ 150 you can fly 8 hours from Moscow to Vladivostok (this is the price with two pieces of luggage). A flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg costs about $ 20-40, low-cost airlines often hold promotions, so it is quite possible to "catch" tickets for $ 9. Don't believe the propaganda, now I'm calling the real state of things. Russia is not a poor country, we do not drink vodka every day and do not ride bears while playing the balalaika! Yes, as everywhere else, there is corruption, but we are fighting it. Russians want peace!

@@pilotmaxim0079No, they leased most of them and when the sanctions set in the (mostly) western leasing companies had to take them back. @Pheorize they leased them and were paying for them, just because sanctions said to take the planes back that doesn't mean that aeroflot got to obey to this breach of contract. They were paying for them. And actually bought the 777 and a330 from the leasing companies. So no theft there.

The people of Luhansk and Donetsk have been constantly bombed by the Ukrainian armed forces and heavily abused. The independent Luhansk people's republic and Donetsk people's republic sent letters to Russia to interfere and protect them from such attacks, which they are currently doing and will continue doing until the armed forces of Ukraine are demilitarized. This is not even what I think, this is what the people who are most effected by this think. If you do not have the capacity nor the experience with this situation you should not be commenting about nobody asking for liberation, because they did ask. I suggest you do your proper research on this topic and I also suggest reading unbiased media or at least asking people from the country. Talking out of your knowledge purely obtained through the mainstream media is a sign of low intelligence and government compliance.
