I prefer regional over worldwide. Chill vibes and character/part variety while still being challenging(NA). All I ever get now for Worldwide is full japanese lobbies with yoshis everywhere. The constant lag hits from their dragged items is mentally exhausting to deal with.

This is how I feel when I play online at a friends house and start with the 1000 point guest account. I gain like 50 points a race while all the high elo players lose like 30 since its proportional. It definitely adds something. But I think most people's reaction to mirror mode is typically "ugh". But most people love 200cc even though that is also a very simple feature to add to every track.

I appreciate mirror mode when I’m playing with friends who aren’t quite as good as me. Since the muscle memory on mirror mode is more of a handicap, I’ll use a combo I’m not familiar with, and that helps even it out more. Otherwise it’s just boring for both me and them if I’m winning all the time

"Boosette" The combo you chose is very similar to Yoshi inkstriker, so it's definitely super good. And yes king boo is the same as rosalina. I don't like rosalina's design in this game because she looks so pale she's a ghost. Might as well go with the king of ghosts

I think you miss one of the key points about mistake analysis. The better you are at a game, the more mistakes you will notice. Poor players might think they only made 1 or 2 errors when in reality they made 20. This is something the vast majority of players do not realise, which is why almost everyone thinks they are better than they really are.

JPGiviner has a video of best shroomless lines on all tracks, but they're for waluigi and no DLC. I don't think he has a new video. I have not gone to that level of optimization, and on some tracks that I have not practiced, I still make up the lines every time. To get an intuitive sense, do time trials and watch the world records. They'll do some things that are too inconsistent for the time that they save though, so you'll have to make a judgment for yourself on what level of risk you accept.

I'd say most of it is just learning track layout. So for example if there's a wide left turn into a sharp right, you can take the left turn slightly wide at the beginning and cut into the right to make the turn at a tighter angle.

Why do you think king boo on teddy is the best combo? I mean there is also for example dry bowser with more speed with just as much speed+miniturbo and inkstriker also seems better then teddy buggy to me with slightly more antigravity speed+miniturbo in exchange for slightly less air speed+miniturbo while having equal ground speed+miniturbo, just slightly more speed focused.

It's my favorite, but I wouldn't call it the best unless I had a solid reason. Why am I not going +1 or -1 speed compared to this combo? No reason besides this one feels nice. Kamek + Inkstriker is arguably better than King Boo Teddy. It has the same speed+MT, +1 antigravity speed, -1 accel, and a smaller hitbox. I choose King Boo Teddy because of the higher air handling since I use motion glider all the time. I don't know if it's actually worth it but it's more fun for me.

Don't trail unless it would be very beneficial to you to threaten/hit someone to get them away from you. Usually if someone else is trailing near you. In most situations you should not trail, because you could randomly lose your defense item, or you might incentivize someone to hit you to get rid of your threat.

Main reason I prefer regional races is they're so much less chaotic and a good way to chill (usually). I don't always feel like competing in worldwide rooms as you constantly have to be playing your best to win in majority of cases. I don't want to do that all the time, I just like enjoying to race with my friends whilst building VR. xd
