It's all about managing your distance to last place to make sure the odds of a shock/blue shell are low. It's called reverse banging 😂

The way you'd have to be so far left, just before a sharp turn is probably what makes it slower. On top of that, boost panels don't save that much time in this game. Plus, the current strategy allows you to face left as you land, which sets up perfectly for the next turn. I think if not for the sharp left turn, the boost panel strategy would have potential!

I've been using pro controller for a little over 2 years now but seeing your video on it really convinced me to switch, and now i use motion glider pretty much every race!! (PS, I Don't actually use the one you use :) Was able to buy a PowerA GC Controller from my grocery store for 28 bucks and it works phenomenally😭) anyway big ups to you as you single handedly brought me back into wanting to learn this game again.

There's a little trick in Crash Team Racing and CTR Nitro Fueled where you make a jump and can hit a Boost Panel from an earlier part of the track on N. Gin Labs. The fact that you did that in Mario Kart 8 and Lakitu didn't snatch you is bewildering.
