Hmmmm none of my bottles came with that plastic cap. That is a helpful gadget.

I’ve gotten hurt more times trying to open those Chinese plastic blister packs than I can count. Seems like the battery packs are the worst.

Why not use a small scale or just use it till it's empty

Good question. For me, this gadget is perfect. Lightweight, accurate and compact.

I know a few people who use it in conjunction with the refill adapters so they they know it's not over-filled before they put it on the shelf in the shed

@@hightecrebel I heard you can only refill 2/3 to 3/4 it is impossible to fill full even when put in the freezer first.

Could kick myself giving away a boxful of those away 12 or so years ago. Refillable. Didn't know then now they're expensive if you can even find the canisters. My husband rip just used them for torches so didn't know of other uses like my little camp stove if power goes out. Gas generator is a gas hog with today's prices. I would run it dry canning whatever's in the freezer if no gas to be had worst case scenario. I don't see these little solar generators being worthwhile with big appliances long term. I'd be dead before paying off full house solar unconnected to the grid. Got my woodstove which is more a priority over electric.. It would just be a lot of work with no electricity. Hand washing clothes and other things.
